It is probably some bit of news that Wii Virtual Console has import titles now. At last as far as Super Mario Brothers: Last Level, Lode Runner, and Sin and Punishment demonstrate.

I snatched up Sin and Punishment as soon as I saw it spring up on the VC, and I do not regret this. It's nine kinds of awesome. Even if the plot is completely incomprehensible and the controls take some adjusting and getting used to. Once you get past that, it's just you and a whole lot of explosions. Fun times.

Then again, I'm a hopeless Treasure fanboy. I've loved every game I've picked up by them, with the exception of Slypheed: The Lost Planet and Stretch Panic.

I'm wondering when and what sort of other Import games will arrive next. I am hoping for Terramiga, Mother, and Alien Soldier. Since technically all three have official English translations anyway.

As far as non-imports are concerned, Shock Troopers and Lufia 2 would be really nice.

Assuming some of you have Wiis, what sort of stuff would you like to see on the Virtual Console?
I don't think they have a sims game on the wii so i would like to see that. It would be good to be able to do all the things that you do in the sims in real life. But hey, i am probably just talking shit so please tell me if i am. :)
MySims?

Anywho, I'm still waiting for big games like Chrono Trigger and Dragon Quest to show up. GET YOUR ASS IN GEAR, SQUENIX!
Sqaure Enix is probably going to avoid every opportunity to contribute to the Virtual Console. I mean, they basically SURVIVE on re-releases of Final Fantasy games right now. They just got done doing re-releases on GBA and now they're doing it on the DS and PSP. And Dragon Quest has consistently gotten lukewarm sales in the states. They probably don't see the benefit of giving us reissues of those games.

Which sucks, because it would be nice to have the original games in their original format at a fraction of the cost on the VC.

Super Mario RPG is coming to the VC, but probably only because Nintendo has more control over that than Square did.

I have been playing Breath of Fire II on the VC. It's worth the $8.

As sad as it is, this is true.
What's sad is FF VIII was the next one up for some sort of re release, if you count the slew of FF VII stuff as having its time in the spotlight.
That was one great game, but it was missing some stuff so if they tweaked it just a liiiitle it'd be my favorite, or damn near it.

Oh...and...hm... well I don't have a Wii so I dunno what is or isn't available. I know Front Mission was just re released on the PSP, but if it isnt on the VC already I'd play the hell out of that....
Front Mission belongs to Square also, so naturally it isn't on the VC.

Last I heard, it was being remade for DS. Which may or may not make it stateside.

Virtual Console's official site lists all of the games currently available.

I've been tempted by Breath of Fire 2, but I really didn't like Breath of Fire IV or Dragon Quarter that much. So I'm wary. I hear the first three games are better, but still.
So like the Breath of fire games. Definetely need to go buy them. But hey, i don't even know what the price is of them. If anyone knows can they please tell me.

Front Mission 1st is a DS remake of the first game. Another DS Front Mission is being made.

Breath of Fire 2 has one of the worst translations ever. But it's still fairly fun. And it's a much different game than Dragon Quarter. It's somewhat similar to 4.
I never really liked the breathe of fire games. It kinda got boring.
I didn't like Breath of Fire 4. I LOVED the art direction and there were some great characters (Samurai Shepard dog? Cast iron stove robot? Yes please) but it really annoyed me that basically 90% of the game was filler. The plot makes ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE and ends abruptly. You do a freaking chasing chickens mini-game right before the final dungeon. Combat was pretty meh.

I REALLY liked the idea of Dragon Quarter on paper. Start the game over constantly, gaining levels more effectively with better equipment in a streamlined story line and opening up more and more of the game as you progress? Sounds cool to me.

Problem was that the combat system was freaking DULL and the plot just didn't interest me and after about six game overs, I decided to just forget the game altogether.

My impression of the earlier games is that they follow along the lines of 4, with a storyline taking backseat to random sidequests. I imagine this works better in a more open ended SNES title, but I've never played it.

DemonDestiny: 2 is eight bucks on the virtual console, if that means anything. Breath of Fire 1 seems to go for dead cheap in catridge form. 3 is probably tricky.
Yep Dragon Quarter sure did my head in too!

I hear that BEYOND OASIS is out on VC now (story of thor over here in the UK) I used to LOVE that game!!
