STARGATE UNIVERSE

I love stargate SG1 and Atlantis but with both of them coming to a close they are preping Stargate Universe for its depeu.

Which Charaters from the two series do you think will be on Universe?

Also Do you think it will be any good?
I didn't even know they were starting another one.

Still SG1 will always be the best.
I'm really not confident about a third series; the last two seasons of SG-1 weren't too spectacular, and Atlantis had a lot of filler which brought it down quite a bit.
I found there was only one good season of Atlantis and that was the Second. After that it went downhill.
Ya I am not that hopeful about univerce either if it is an all new cast I don't have much hope for it. They have 15 seasons of characters to bring in if they don't tap into their roots enough the show will suck. And I am going to miss my Stargate.
That's the thing about Stargate. It's "roots" are not just what was in SG-1 and the movie.

It's true ability lies in the fact that it is not limited in such a way. Thus we don't get 12 sequels all about Anubis and his damned legions of never ending parasite buddies.

Although one thing I do agree with is the lack of action you started to see at the end of SG-1 and all through Atlantis.

It was like 4 episodes of filler crap where we learn about one of the characters and then 1 episode that actually didn't have me dozing off halfway through.

Still the only thing that could possibly be good is if the main story is centered around a war. A massive one that humans finally managed to get into.

But what will most likely happen is a third galaxy. Then you will have a three galaxy land grab with whatever new race they introduce as bad guys and possibly even more replicators and a new homeworld for them. Fucking replicators need to just stay dead it's getting pretty annoying to see them season after season.
Ya the replicators got really gay once they became human
Yeah. The Ori were a wasted concept, and to this day I'm still somewhat confused about the Wraith. They were just not presented well, I guess.

One thing I really didn't like about Stargate, however, was the fact that after...how many years since the first travel to Abydos, 15-18? That for some reason, despite manufacturing 5+ interstellar starships and a slew of outer space fighter jets, and despite so many other events on Earth that should've alerted at least one person (putting it extremely lightly), the Stargate still isn't known by anyone besides the US/Russian government/military, and a select few other politicians. What's more, it's still kept secret. It just defies suspension of disbelief; you can't hold something like that secret for very long once so many people know about it, as the chaos factor just grows too high. Someone's bound to leak it at some point.

Oh well, end rant. I just hope they don't milk Universe and lead it to the same end Star Trek had. That would give me a very big sadface. :-\
I quite liked the wraith. Fearful creatures.
Atlantis of Stargate is almost the Voyager of Star Trek

Almost

The first couple seasons of SG-1 were cool but the show lost steam by season 5 or so.

I had no idea they were making a new one. I'll checking it out and hope they're back on track
Yeah I want the war back. How can you have a show like that with no intergalactic war?
