ATLUS AND REASONS WHY THEY ARE GREAT
Posts
I LOVE YOU ATLUS
PLEASE BRING THIS TO NORTH AMERICA
(Imageshack is down. Go to the below links for the Japanese propaganda.)
Along with the original Growlanser, the original Persona will be ported to the PSP. Hopefully this means less engrish and more sense making. And pray for the snow-queen sidequest!

I wonder if they're going to make Mark black again...
While the first Persona is probably the weakest of the series, it's still nice to go back to see what started it all. The hero and four friends, Mark, Yuki, Nate and Mary must face off against a demon invasion of their city, by utilizing their "personas", and figure out just what role the Sebec Corporations plays in the invasion.
Updates include polished graphics and gampeplay, a revised script and anime cutscenes.
I'm sure all you guys addicted to Persona 4 currently, such as myself, will be more than curious. SUPPORT ATLUS AND BUY THEIR GAMES, EVEN THE SUCKY ONES LIKE MY WORLD, MY WAY!

Being able to bring current localization standards to a game like Persona would be cool. Well, we can dream, right? (damnit I don't have a PSP anyways :( )
Get one of them old ones so you can mod it! I can't play anything over 1 gig, but it's cool. The only games that are over 1 gig aren't worth playing anyway, sans maybe the Star Ocean remakes.
IN SMT RELATED NEWS:
http://www.rpgamer.com/games/megten/devilsurvivor/devilsurvivor.html
A Shin Megami Tensei spin-off for the DS has been announced and, from the looks of it, it's the very first SMT SRPG. And this one I KNOW is coming to the US because RPGamer said so.
Also, the people at Atlus actually respond to fanmail! A few years ago I asked them if they were going to localize the GBA remake of SMT. They said no, of course, but I was surprised that they said anything at all.

Atlus said their also working solely for the Xbox 360 ;D
This is great news. Any reason for me to buy a PS3 just keep dissapearing.
I'll probably get lynched for saying this, but I never could get into the Shin Megami Tensei (That's what SMT means, Kentona) series. Maybe it's just because of a bad experience with the first Persona. Ah well, I loved Thousand Arms, so Atlus itself has a special place in my heart. >_>
I immediately dismiss any games that use random japanesish words in their title, because they are meaningless to me. Is Shin Megaman Tensor or whatever Persona?

It's all part of the same series, or spin-off of series or something, Ken. Like, Persona is a spin-off of SMT. One of the SMT fans will more than likely give you a complete answer in the near future, complete with diagrams, pie-charts, and NASDAQ indexes.
Yeah, you're talking to the guy who thought Mother and Persona were the same game...
I don't follow all these new-fangled gaming fads.

There's a lot going on in the DS scene too with the likes of Devil Survivor being announced recently. It's got a strong line-up this year.
Shin Megami Tensei means "Grim Reaper" in Japanese. I learned it watching a subtitled anime.
Anyway, it is a series of games set in modern Earth, usually Tokyo. There are several different franchises, but they are all RPGs and they all revolve around demons invading the world. They are super cool and filled with surreal mythological references.
