I still think Akuma is cheap, I'm 99% sure using Akuma is banned in most tournaments for exactly this reason.
Really?! Guess I have to use Ken instead, I'm pretty good with him in four, more so than Sakura. I'll just have to get his ultra combo down real well.

Street Fighter is my favorite video game series ever. I do not own a 360/PS3 so I cannot currently play it, but if there was one game that could get me really interested in buying one this would be it. Just don't really have the money to spare right now.
I've read people saying that they made my favorite character, Vega, one of the worst characters this time around? If thats true, I'm disappointed. Haven't heard people ay much about my other favorite, M. Bison. Maybe it's because everyone is apparently playing as Ken?

Akuma is not banned, and I don't foresee anybody being banned. The only character that could potentially be banned from tournaments is Gouken because of his unique counter ability.
How good is the online? I kinda like Soulcalibur IV, but the lag ruins it. If the online is consistent I very well might buy this game.
I'll rent it first either way though.

Yeah SCIV lag is unbearable... I mean I'm a good player, but the lag kills me.

It might just be the floaty physics of SF4, but he does not play well at all. The fact that people are boring as hell and just play nothing but Ken and Ryu has little to do with it...

Bison still does okay but you almost never see him online

Is sonic an unlockable character?
Did you leave out boom? It's a special move done exclusively by Guile (hold < for 2 secs then > and press any punch button) and not a character AFAIK.
No XB360/PS3 = No SFIV for me. :(

Uh, yeah dude. Like Magi said, where have you been? The majority of SFIV matches are Ken vs. Ken, Ryu vs. Ken, Ken vs. Ryu, or relatively rarely, Ryu vs. Ryu.
