Okay excellent. I will PM you the link. Remember to include THINGS YOU LIKE in the beta test report as well as things that are wrong, Tyranos.

Heh, tried to open it and the computer just beeped and the window closed. I then tried other RMVX games I have and they're doing the same thing. I'm going to re-download the RTP and see if that changes anything.

I am really worried about whether or not my package was zipped/unzipped correctly. Please everyone else let me know if you were able to play the game successfully or not not.
I got such good armor nothing was hurting me so as a precursor before I touch the game and give bug reports you should make note of this.

You could make sure a minimum of 1 damage is taken when hit to avoid abusing battles for items. I have 32 food and 54 water in your first release because raiders drop them but can't hurt me. It's not game breaking unless abused for long periods of time so it's not really a big issue. Since most people won't be spening 8 hours killing stuff in one place. But I would consider almost like a built in cheat for those with patience.

Okay DLing now PM recieved.

Tyranos...thanks for the heads up but please keep future reports to PM or e-mail.

(Cthulhu2004@yahoo.com is my non-business e-mail by the way, guys.)

1) the first areas are all easy level 1-5 areas enemies in other areas of the game will be harder. hence your armor protection will be substantially less good when you move on.
2) okay raiders have a 1/6 chance of dropping food. in fact I just looked through my whole database nothing drops water. how the HELL did you get 54 water??
Come to think of it...I did open the chest in the plaza and got water from it. Maybe the VX system had a break in data and gave me more then it should have? Wish I still had that game though. I knew I should have taken a screenshot.

Since then I have used it all the way down to a mere 17. I deleted the whole file anyways to start playing the beta. And there are more things then that to worry about Max...I will be PM'ing it to you now.

Actually scratch that I will Email it now. I have a picture to show you what I mean on THAT one.

Considering most people (including me) play through the game from meal to meal and consider themselves lucky if they have a stockpile of 5-10 food or water, your experience is pretty anomalous!

Anyway I have playtested the game extensively and I have not noticed a bug that gives you a ton of water. I will keep an eye out for it!

Got your e-mail. Replying to it now. 2nd one isn't a bug btw. Mechaniques automatically start with 3 in Tech, Explosives, and Security. Everyone has starting skills.

I just assumed since it said "Your skill has increased to 3." I was like WTF?!

Yeah I was wondering why it would do that in the first level up but not in another. Thanks for the heads up. By the way I got NOTHING BUT FOOD out of every locked chest so far in this game. Everything else has been items. The good news is that this time around I made an acid weapon that is kicking some serious ass. I take it that nobody has acid resistence innately?

2 water + 14 food = I'm screwed aren't I?

Yeah since you can buy food and not water that is...not good. I bet there are a couple places you can get it that you haven't looked yet. Worst comes to worst, the inn will feed and water you, or you could just visit Delilah a lot and get by on sex alone although she doesn't heal you.

Most mutants and robots are somewhat resistant to acid/toxins but not really enough to save them. The fire weapon is even better.

As for you getting nothing but food from locked chests that is weird but I think it is probably just random chance. (The presence of random chance makes it much harder to detect bugs.)
I figured acid would be better since most of these creatures were something else when nuclear fire hit them and then they mutated from radiation. I figured it would be the most effective weapon type in the game thus it's so rare with only one weapon (that I know of).

Would kick ass if you made water in the world drinkable with a high chance of radiation poisoning.

Poor F-G and your inability to edit. To quote/paraphrase myself...

*Please try all four character classes, both acquirable party members, and all four quests. Please also visit all playable areas (underbridge, junktion city, frozen creek, gas station, burnt out plaza, poisoned lake, ruined farm) available in the beta/demo.

To be more specific, here is what I plan to put in the readme/blog post that comes with the full demo release.

Playable Character Classes (4): Protector, Outlaw, Mechanique, and Volta
Levels of Development Fully Realized and Balanced: 1-5
Available Party Members: Layla (Outlaw) and Chester (Mechanique)
Playable Quests: Escorting Chester, Rescuing Layla, Communications Drive In, Nightclutch Bounty.
-Accessible Areas-
Tutorial.
Settlements: Underbridge, Frozen Creek
Hostile Sites: Burnt Out Plaza, Poisoned Lake, Ruined Farm, Gas Station.
Towns: Junktion City
Dungeons: None yet.

There is at least one other area (Power Station) that you should be able to find but not enter in the demo. Also you can wander around the World Map all you like but it probably won't accomplish anything except getting you killed.
Max's seal of approval should be a picture of his face in a circle with text wrapping around saying "A game that'll get done!" It would be a cool slogan too because he's made so many games.

Idle chit chat aside.

Other than what I've sent you I can find nothing wrong here. I love how you can have a designated party member for all checks of their prime catagory. I have played the game as all four classes and found it to be very well balanced. Last time I tried the Volta I got my ass handed to me on a platter, same went for the mechanique. This time around I found it much easier to play as those two and much more fun. The protector seems more balanced now as well. Last time that class made the game much more easy.

The classes are really exagerated this time around. With class only abilities that further differentiate between them.

This is easily one of my highest rated games. This deserves a place on my list. The only weak point is some of the graphics. I don't mind inconsistent but some are just outright blurry and undistinguishable. It's a shame that you have no one to make custom sprites for you. But even so this game was impressive. Personally I would love to see you make games in all genres with this kind of realism. The whole stamina/fatigue system seems a little buggy but I'm sure the kinks will be ironed out. One flaw that needs fixing desperately is the dying after talking bug. For some reason it's like talking to people speeds up the whole system.

This was a pretty big success, and I think I've gotten everything out of it that I'm going to, except Darken's report.

By far the most important thing I have learned is that I need a fatigue bar. I'm counting on you, GRS.
Woops. Should I still send in my report? It's mostly a big jargon complaints about the fatigue stuff much like you have in the blog post. However I think I did find some map/tile glitches.
