On RPG Maker Xp how do you make it so they have to do somthing before they can do somthing elce?

(must defeat like a boss before going through a door)

Conditional branches. Learn how to use them.
Also, help files. Read them. I'm pretty sure you can just right click something to get an explanation in RMXP, but not 100%.
