"TOWN" TILESET (FROM RTP) NOT WORKING IN RM2K3!

i dont know what happend, the town tileset that came from the RTP suddenly stopped working. i tried copying the file and pasted it somewhere, then deleting the original file from the RTP-->Chipset and then i tried to import the copy/pasted "Town" tileset to the Chipset folder but it just said "unsupported PNG image" or something like that.

then i tried pasting the town tileset back to the RTP folder but again, the town tileset was just blank in RM2k3. when i tried opening the file using Paint or another program, it's just normal, all the tiles are there, but when i try opening it in RM2k3, it's just blank, thats all i see.

what do i do? many maps in my project use the Town tileset! :(
Is it saved as a PNG or BMP file? If not, that may be your problem. Also check to make sure that it's 256 colour resolution as well.

Otherwise, try to import it via the import/export button. If all else fails, check to see that it's chosen right in the Tileset Tab in the database.

If that don't work... maybe someone else will know.

it's in PNG format since it was from the RTP. it's also 256 color resolution. it still said "unsupported PNG image" when i tried importing and exporting. thanks for the suggestions, but unfortunately none of them worked :(

the town tileset was just blank in the Database->Tileset even though i selected the town.png as the tileset file.

EDIT: ok it's working now. i just had to change the resolution. one prob though, the tiles look kinda purple/pink-ish for some reason.
Here, try using this one instead.

The problem is most likely that this tile isn't the same colour as the transparent colour and it 'over-shadows' the rest of the chipset.

If it keeps doing it, just click on the background colour to make it transparent during importing.
thankk you sooo much!!!!!!!! :D

im thinking of releasing my project here once im done with it (probably a month from now) so i hope it turns out well.

without ur help, my maps would have turned out permanently screwed! :P
