ATTACK APPROACH IN RM2K3

Slight brain fart. How is it again that you get your hero to approach the enemy to attack? I remember Balmug Cycle doing this, and I remember implementing it myself on a former game a while back, but I can't seem to find the stupid option. Any help?
It's under a skill/weapon's animation (Movement Before Animation specifically). I don't think you can change the animation when a character has nothing equippped.

I check the hero's weapon slot with a variable. If it comes out zero, they get a default "unarmed" weapon for the duration. Then, after battle I remove all weapons from heroes whose weapon variable was zero earlier, and I remove 99 Unarmed weapons from the inventory.
