100% free solution:
Camstudio (doesn't work with some onboard audio so audacity can capture audio just in case)
Capture using a lossless codec. Splice video+audio together in VirdualDub, cut accordingly. Encode using a 2-pass XVID/x264 (avi + x264 has something funky about it but it encodes great) and upload to Viddler. Enable download original.
I made a big post about it a long time ago. If somebody knows where the forum search is I might be able to find it.

I used Camstudio (or maybe fraps) and Windows Movie Maker. Be sure to cut every scene with starwipes.
Ok, I have no internet, and I want to be able to take Camstudio home with me from an internet cafe.
Seems they require me to have online access in order to use the executable file, though.

Can't you just download the installer and email it to yourself..?
And do what with the e-mail? ;)
Read again. I've got no internet, and thus, no e-mail I can open at home.
Looks like I'll need internet, heh heh.

I personally use CamStudio for my videos. It has good quality + sound and no watermarks.
Asalieri, you can buy a USB Flash Drive to solve that problem. Just download and save the file into your USB from another computer that has internet, then transfer it to your computer and install it. USB Flash Drives come pretty cheap nowadays. You can get them almost anywhere.

It's free but it puts a small banner with it's name in the upper-left. I don't even notice it anymore though.

Ok, I have CamStudio.
But now i've run into a problem. When I try to record VX games, no problem.
But I can't record games made in RPGMaker2000, not only do my videos come out
minimized, they also flicker and give me epileptic seizures.
Anyone know what I can do to correct this? I realize RPGmaker games force you to play in fullscreen, but CamStudio doesn't RECORD those the way you see it.
