CloseSo I went to Animecon with friends of mine today, and am intending to do so tomorrow too. I was mainly out there taking photos of some well made costumes.
There was few fun shows & etc too, but not that many. Anyway, spotting characters and taking pics was quite fun.

actually while the pokemon girl is cute this girl is probably the best looker in the bunch. everyone else is all "i'm so anime watch me brood"

Well, it depends Blitzen. Lots of people buy some clothes to their costume from " flea markets", meaning used clothes and old ones and seek pieces that match the costume. And then it also depends on costume, how complicated it is and if you can order it somewhere.

post=86391It's not actually ONLY Animecon. It's Finncon/Animecon Finncon is a regular SF convention where all the good stuff happens and Animecon is the newer "for kids" thing that brings in all the money so that Finncon can have good programming. (Since the anime kids are so easy to please, all you need is a vendor's area, a cosplay competition and some signs saying "hug me". Rei- What's with the Hug Me signs anyway I don't get it and neither did anyone else asked...)

Early estimates say there were 15 000 people on Finncon/Animecon this year. That's a new record for the event.
Wow, I don't normally enjoy this kinda thing but those were some nice costumes.
