TOP TEN TOPIC: PLAYSTATION 1, 2 AND 3!

Another Top 10 list, and this one for new gaming systems! Because of backwards compatibility, I've lumped Playstation, PS2 and PS3 into this Top 10.
I would suggest to those of you who have legitimate lists to try to focus on exclusives (or games that were exclusive to Playstation for a significant amount of time, like, GTA or something). Since I don't own any Playstation consoles this will be an easy one for me! I've only really played one playstation exclusive game for any length of time (Final Fantasy VII), and it was released on PC (though I played it before then).
I might come back and list games that I have that aren't system exclusive, but probably won't.

I'm not really going to try very hard but
10. Romancing SaGa on PS2 because it's the weirdest fucking game I've ever played. Very, very surreal. It's my girlfriend's favorite JRPG and the only JRPG she likes.
9. Final Fantasy VII because it made me wet my pants and play it over and over again.
8. Breath of Fire IV because the animation is amazing and it's just really solid and cute.
7. Xenosaga III because it's the only good game in the series and just happens to be incredible.
6. Dragon Warrior VII because, even though it isn't that good of a game, I've played through it three times and since that took 300 hours of my life it must be doing something correctly.
5. Metal Gear Solid 2 because MGS is so incredible.
4. Metal Gear Solid 3 because MGS is so incredible but this is the best one so far.
3. Ninja Gaiden Sigma because it's the best version of the the best swordfighting action I've ever played. Runners-up are Devil May Cry and Onimusha series, but since all three series and each iteration are all the exact same game I will simply chooose my favorite.
2. Final Fantasy Tactics because it's really good. It's better on PSP, of course, but that is still a Sony brand so I guess my second-favorite game ever is a PSP title!
1. Dragon Quest 8 because it's my favorite game ever. If you don't like it I guess that's fine but I absolutely recommend it.
Note that every game on this list is from Japan. However, as of 2007 most of my favorite games are on XBox360 and have been made in America. I expect this to change whenever PS3 gets its act together.

Games are in no particular order.
SHADOW OF THE COLOSSUS (PS2) Should be experienced at least once, but gets pretty difficult in the later segments.
ODIN SPHERE (PS2) Kill enemies, plant seeds, harvest their souls to grow berries, eat berries, repeat. The only brawler/RPG/farming sim I know of, and a really good one too. With nice graphics, good music and a great story.
PSYCHONAUTS (PS2) A very interesting premise, many collectibles and a story that's funny and disturbing in equal measure.
DRAGON QUEST VIII (PS2) A really good traditional RPG, if you like that sort of thing. Has some of the best monster designs ever; imps struggle to cast high-level spells at you but fail every time, hovering bells summon hulking dragons which stare into space while they're not blasting you into oblivion and docile toad creatures morph into dangerous oddities when provoked. Yes, no button mashing here.
OKAMI (PS2) Because everyone knows Amaterasu would thrash Wolf Link in a fair fight.
CHRONO CROSS (PS) which I haven't actually played (the disc was bugged or something) but the intro movie was so incredibly awesome that it deserves a place here anyway.
KINGDOM HEARTS (PS2) Oddly appealing.
Runners-up:
FINAL FANTASY XII (PS2) Haven't played enough to know how good it is. Beginning is great, but there are way too few save points.
THE LORD OF THE RINGS: RETURN OF THE KING (PS2) Single-player isn't great, but co-op is fun, if nothing else. The only movie-liscenced game I know of that's actually good.

There are only three games for the PS1 that I've ever finished. Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy VIII and Resident Evil: Nemesis. My only longer experience with a PS2 game is a couple of DDR games. I don't think I'm reallyall that qualified to make a list.
Resident Evil is pretty awesome though. But RE2 I got on my N64, RE1 I got the GC remake (Though I played the director's cut on PS1 a couple of times)
But no real list from me on this.

I really expected this topic to be filled with lists, given the huge PS2 and PS1 library and that PS2s are like bellybuttons.
I am surprised

Last one I played in the RTK series was 4.
I'm like... in love.

I hadn't seriously played one since IV, which was awesome, until I inherited a PS2 and bought X. X is pretty awesome and has a lot of RPG elements, but XI is awesome and has a lot of ass kicking (and more style).
Bottom line: Romance of the Three Kingdoms is awesome.

Oh hell ya. Asskick-fest.
I never knew destroying an army would cause a massive explosion, with fireball and all. ...Lots of explosions in RTK XI.
