A side scrolling team based, class based arena fighter/shooter about different types of workers fighting to the death in order to keep their jobs. Just imagine it: Maids, Carpenters, Mechanics and teachers beating the crap outta each other.

games like Super Metroid, or Castlevania SotN. Big huge map with tons of hidden power ups, upgrades, etc. Secret areas and such.

RPG mechanics are a plus!
