QUSTION ABOUT SPRITE MAKING.

So, I found myself putting together character sets for a zelda game I hope to make once my computer is working again, and I come across a problem. Because the sprites are ripped fro a zelda game, the sizes differ to a certain degree. The walking sprites worked just fine, but when I put him in with the boomerang...

it intersects with the next border. I have already made the walking sprite, so I don't want to make the boomerang or sword sprite smaller. Otherwise link will shrink everytime he attacks. I was wondering if there is any way around this problem, or am I going to have to resize the other sprites to make them smaller, thus making them fit with the attacking sprites?

I'm not comfortable with any idea that can't be expressed in the form of men's jewelry

What are you using for the game?
try to shrink the actual item a little bit, and keep the ratios the same. Works for my Zelda game.
The way I see is, someone has probably already ripped Zelda sprites for every Zelda game ever. I'd hit up google.

What do you mean by "put him in with the boomerang"?
Okay a sprite works in a very simple manner. For startes the canvas is split in for both horizontally and vertically. All you need to do is extend the canvas so that a quarter of the horizontal width is larger than the width of your sprite. ;)

I guess this could work, but I would rather keep everything in proportion

Yes, most sprites are ripped, but not all of them, so I am making my own from sprite sheets to get everything. About the boomerang, look at the picture, his boomerang goes over into the next section.

You can't resize the sprite sheets for rpg maker 2003, and thus, I can't change the canvas size...
yeah, I can't see any images hosted on those free imageshack-ish sites while at work. I didn't even know there was an image in this thread until you mentioned it.
Oh, ok, I was wondering how you didn't understand from the HUGE green arrow pointing to the problem. lol.
