TUTORIALS FOR DRAWING THINGS?

No, I don't need tutorials for drawing things... Actually I kind of do BUT that's not what my problem is. You see, I *have written* a tutorial for helping people draw their faces and characters in Illustrator. You can see it here.
Granted the example is something I did long ago and isn't really that great (and I've modified that particular character so many times to look better until she looked more feminine and kawaii, and the shadows didn't go away when I 48x48-ed it) but the underlying method stays the same pipeline-wise. And it's much easier than it looks- the quality of your characters depends on your actual artistic ability.
I just felt this site could use a copy of the tutorial- but all the tutorials in the site are game engine specific while this one is for any instance you want to draw a character and illustrate it. I couldn't figure out where to put it, so instead of getting it either moved or overlooked from being in the wrong section, I want to ask someone who manages tutorials here about it.

Ah thanks. All I see are articles about looping MIDIs and knowing how to use Indexed Color Mode in Photoshop. So this is Karsuman's idea of being qualified...
Yes, because both of those articles describe exactly what they claim to.
Your tutorial is more about how to trace lines you have previously drawn and using a type of scanning device to get that image digitally.

Okay, when I go to your tutorial's page I see a sloppily put together face that could be put together by a kid that just discovered the pen tool. It doesn't talk about techniques, tips or tricks, but character design, when there is nothing special about the character design present.
What am I to think?

@WIP I'm just responding to Karsuman's "heckling". Knowing how to loop MIDIs and index images is useful. Lots of things are useful.
@Karsuman It's not so much what you're supposed to think as what you're supposed to say (or not say). Although, I don't care what you say (or think) and I'll just either respond or not as I always do. I'm always going to get those kinds of people who hover around others and say negative stuff just to say negative stuff about a person they don't like on the Internets.

Chalking it up to me disliking you and playing up the 'joe cool' attitude, I see.
If only I was being spiteful...but I digress. There are a few people on the site that I don't like that submit things on occasion - I don't mention what I just told you to them. Know why? Because, regardless of my opinion of them, I can accept that they are producing something with a semblance of quality Either way, though, you'll just shy your eyes away from any criticism I give, regardless of its validity. I assume because your ego just can't accept the fact that your tutorial is pretty bad - and I can tell, because I have seen plenty of art tutorials in my time.
Do you have any idea how you come across to others?

I didn't say it wasn't good. I also didn't say I draw good either. I'm just glad I can draw at all. But I think the tutorial is useful.

I've been told I am kind and sweet. I've been told I am humble and I've been told I am arrogant. I've been told I'm cynical and cruel. But one thing I can really tell is if someone doesn't like me. It's got nothing to do with your criticism. Actually a lot of people think I'm really cynical.

I'm not going to completely ignore you. There might be an off chance you might actually give helpful criticism. Especially if there's a bunch of those kinds of people that go "wow!" at everything.
I have been a member of this community for way too long and I think it shows with my (occasional) cynicism. I am currently studying for a degree in Film and Animation at the Rochester Institute of Technology
This is why I should let you know I actually don't take any of this personally. If there's someone who could make a better tutorial I would like to see it. I'm not sarcastic either, it would be good to have here.

I can't say it'd be any better but I've thought about making one. I don't know what anyone would want to know how to do though. Plus, I hate typing. =P
