..:: September 22nd, 2009 ::..
Everyone's favorite event with stolen subtitles (that we'll probably run out of) is happening again! The concept is the same as VII, VI, V, IV, III, II and I (surprise!): we encourage everyone to release a demo or something on the 22nd of September (even if it is a half-finished or semi-broken demo project or OST or something) and then everyone plays everyone else's stuff and comments on it! (please!).
Emphasis on the Something.
We will have three threads:
1. One for signing up and advertising Release Day! intentions (this thread)
2. One for posting A LINK TO your release's GAMEPAGE (no comments in this thread)
3. One for posting your thoughts and reviews of the released content

Well, meh; could've seen it coming. I have two VX-project that are fighting each other for attention; one is a standard run-of-the-mill fantasy game and the other is something as exiting as a futuristic/sci-fi rpg with heavy focus on gameplay. Fun fact; the first project has a complete storyline, plot and characters... but no gameplay! The second has a very well developed set of gameplay basics, monsters, classes, skills and whatnot.. and guess what? NO STORY. Yeah, I did intend for the later mentioned to be a dungeon-crawler esque thingie, but then I realized that I do like somekind of direction and story when it comes to rpg games like these.
So I don't know what to do :(. Are two nicely presented gamepages and screenshots from these projects viable as a release?

There's nothing really that specific when it comes to "something" I remember in the past RS events, Blitzen just submitted a pixel font and GRS just talked about SUPER FRANCE, some people even put screenshots. Demos or betas are really just the common stuff people put up (though it would suck if everyone didn't submit anything playable).
So yeah, that works.
