With Halloween well on its way, is there any kind of horror design contests going on?

hmmm...that might not be a bad idea. Maybe a 3 hour?
I was actually going to do a short game with customs. Not sure though, prolly would if it was a three hour.

I would be down with this.
Perhaps something a little longer, similar to last year? A week or two perhaps? Either way, I would be glad to participate :)!
How about a map design horror house with a focus on atmosphere instead of puzzles? That'd be interesting.
I can easily start a Map Design Fun event in October with Liberty's theme. In fact, i think I will (or instruct someone here to do one if I'm not around).

A one or two week creepy contest would be good, too.

This. But then again, puzzles are awesome!

THIS.
I would be in favor of the week-long game design contest.
I am looking forward to wearing some ridiculous outfit. Hopefully my girlfriend will wear a ridiculous outfit too.

EDIT: I am sorry; I thought this was a general topic. I don't really have any game-development-related stuff to say.
I plan on buying a cute little swaddling costume.

As I'll be working over halloween, I'm using a local Steampunk convention as my preferred venue for dressign up. Hopefully, my outfit will be awesome.

As far as the 'working on halloween' goes... I was just cast in a production of The Rocky Horror Show. Frightening, eh?
So, what did you guys want? A collaborative "atmosphere" "game" (I'm thinking a haunted house that you could just wander around in or something) or just a mapping contest showing off screens, or did we actually want individual projects with some sort of game mechanic element?
I wouldn't mind short individual projects focusing on setting a mood. Many topics in game design seem to talk about the mood-setting thing. And it would be nice to have some projects showcasing "your" idea of what sets a good mood.

Perhaps even going so far as making mostly uninteractive short moodsetter game videos...
I also have a small suggestion: feature the best horror game on Halloween

I would like this.
I second the collaborative game. Feel the spirit of togetherness, chums!
