Posts
so let's see... I need loco roco 2, patapon 2 (is that out? should i bother getting the first ones?)
i have dissidia...
need star ocean FD, Tales of the World, Prinny: can i be the hero, FFT (maybe, that game is a long one, and i have it for ps...), brave story, crimson gem, maybe crisis core... oh yeah maybe jean d'ark or whatever...
seems I'll have a nice library soon.
god, i'll be like 80 before I ever finish all my games...

3000 can only be hacked if you are using the 5.0 firmware.
Also, don't go advocating piracy on my website, Nick.

I really wasn't found of Patapon, Jean'D Arc I heard was good. Tales of the World is alright, Prinny is fun but sometimes it's so hard you want to pull your hair out. When they give you 1000 lives. You'll need it.
Jeanne d'Arc.
It's so much better than that terrible version of FFT. That thing is so bad, even with the remade dialogue and cutscenes. Jeanne d'Arc is the best RPG on the PSP. Brave Story and Crisis Core are also good.

Huh?
now now, children.
While certainly not a PSP aficionado, I looked at both of those and they seemed good, they were on my list.

Yeah Brave Story was pretty but story and gameplay wise it was stale as... I'm not good at on-the-spot metaphors. But very stale and boring. Maybe the gameplay would've been tolerable had it not been for the awful story. It was promising, but the minute you enter Vision things go downhill. Character development would have helped immensely, not to mention a clearcut villain.
Haven't played Crisis Core, but it's further milking of the FF7 storyline. So fans will love it and I'll ignore it.
And I want to play Jeanne d'Arc.
And Star Ocean PSP would have been better without voice-acting, or if the second one retained the PSX's awful voice-acting. Nostalgic value is more powerful than quality!

Also I forgot about this, for the PSP get Persona remade for the PSP and when it comes out Persona 3: Portable. As well as Birth By Sleep Later in 2010. These are great games I can't wait for.
So far Dissidia is tons-o-fun - although you have to come up with your own "tricks" in order to get past the computer, who is usually just plain better than you (superb timing and aim). There are some battles where you can wrap it up within seconds - and then there's some really intense battles that take... longer...
I just love Golbez's - "Endure THIS" when he uses his blow-up attack... ah....
Anyway, i went to a pawn shop yesterday and picked up many games:
PSP:
Crisis Core (hate me if you must)
God of War: COO
Patapon
and something called Blade Dancer
(i also bought 2 snes games - Yoshi's Island, and Brainlord)
Haven't gotten to Crisis Core yet. Patapon is mad fun, my wife is addicted and I can't get pon-pon-pata-pon outta my head. God of War is all the fun I've come to know and love, although dodging is hard to get used to. Haven't played Blade Dancer either.

Jeanne d'Arc is one of the best RPGs I've played. You should really get it.
Also there is an exploit for the PSP firmware that will let you run some unsigned code but not CD images. It's actually my preferred way to do it, because I can run a GBA emulator and play Mother 3 but I still am running official firmware and cannot pirate games.
I guess it's a function of either being a jerk or being broke but video games are pretty cheap, and unless you're pirating some five-year-old GBA game that was never released in America, I don't know how you can be entertained when you are playing stolen software. I always felt like a slime when I played pirated games.

PSP games are the only ones I pirate (past-gen emulators don't really count), and I only do that to A) test it out, see if it's a good game, and B) it's under 1 gig. If it passes A or isn't under a gig, I'll probably end up buying it if I really want it.
Now I want to get Jeanne d'Arc.
Wish my copy of Liberty City Stories still worked. :\

Is there a "legal" way to get RM* games on PSP?
Someone had mentioned this earlier in the topic, and I'm intrigued...

I don't think there is a legal or illegal way. I don't believe anyone has coded a game engine that can read RM's project files and output them on the PSP. Past that, any such engine would have to be licensed by Sony. Since that isn't going to happen, you'd have to run unsigned code - which is only possible by hacking your PSP.
