BORDERLANDS, WUT; DIABLO? TAKE MY WALLET!

Probably one of the more anticipated titles coming out this november. A co-op first person shooter RPG hybrid with mechanics similar to Diablo... Or so I've been told.
The game does look a bit interesting I have to say, It's produced by Gearbox, a team that has close ties to valve (They did Blue Shift and some other mods for Half Life).
If anyone else is thinking of grabbing this game, you can get a 4 pack on steam for 134.97
*(Ends up being just under 34 US per person, as oppose to the single preorder price of 44.99, or full retail for 49.99)
Would anyone else be interested in the game go for a 4 pack deal? It would essentially be arranged through paypal.

I am looking forward to this game, but PC games make my tendonitis worse so I will be playing on XBox Live. Sorry bro!
Also I don't like playing video games with other people.
The Steam deal is a pretty good idea, even though it is a little unconventional. I think it's hard to argue with digital distribution when you can get such awesome bargains through services like Steam. The sales numbers support it, too; when they cut games down to very low prices, their sales go up by over 1000% sometimes. I'd like to see Activision or someone sell a big title like Assassin's Creed for $20 new and see if they are able to move 10 or 20 million units.

I don't really think so. I mean it's a strong component of the game design and everything but at the same time the game's setting and gamestyles really lend themselves to the lone desperado archetype. I'm having a blast playing solo. When you play games alone, you play at your own pace and do exactly what you want. When you play with other people, there's some groupthink going on. That appeals to many people, but not to everyone.
When I want to interact with others, I invite them over. And whenever I do play multiplayer games it's usually when I actually have someone over. But for the most part video games have never been a social thing for me. Internet multiplayer has always had zero appeal to me, and I don't think I'm the only person who feels that way.
EDIT: Also I usually play video games with my girlfriend on the couch when she is watching TV or something on the laptop . . . it's sort of our quality time at the end of every day. That might play a part, too, because I'd rather use my extra attention span to chat with my girlfriend while playing a game and not put on a headset or something and shut her out.
