I've cast my votes; it didn't take much deliberation this year. Hopefully Vacant Sky pulls through this year. Act I was released just a couple weeks too late for last year's awards.
Kinda wish I knew what the hell was going on in the RM community as of late so I can vote. The effects of not having taken part in anything RM for ages is staggering.

Yeah same here, mainly because there hasn't been a whole lot of good games that fit the bill. I know I sound like I'm being a little negative to RM games but which is going to win GOTY besides Hero's Realm? Seriously.

rei's ascendence demo- that menu was incredible.
i find it very difficult to get excited about menus. kentona's class / character selection menus with the graphs were cool so i voted thusly.

AA GENESIS FTW
Hero's Realm is a good game, but for a completed game it sure has a number of bugs. Plus, Genesis OWNS HR in the story direction department. Five chapters apiece just to introduce each main character? Too much filler, Captain.

Ascendence for atmosphere and interface, hands down. I also loved its music and sounds. Truthfully, though, I'm struggling to find a game that I can vote for in storytelling and direction. I wanted to vote for Phantom Legacy but it won't let me (I guess because there's no download up right now). That game aside, nothing really blew me away story-wise.
I like Hero's Realm, but I'm voting for AA for game of the year.
