THE BEST OF YOUR HIGHSCHOOL YEARS.

Not to sound like a complete asshole, but high school sounded pretty boring for a lot of you guys.
post=111602post=111599nerds chortling over soviet power while playing quake 1 in a room all day, or people who socialize, do stuff, and play gba/gbc... For the win! We ended up getting like 7 people at one point, making some goths to bring in a small tv and NES to try to one-up us.
I thought pc geeks were above the gba geeks in the social ladder.
Anything can sound bad if you say it like that :S

All 4 years were pretty bitchin' in spite of the fact that I was a totally unpopular dweeb among my peers. I lived in a beautiful, quiet, affluent town, classes were a snap with a capital nap, I had a good paying, very low stress full time job working for my girlfriend's dad during the school year, sometimes with a job as a counselor at a 4H camp during the summer (still my favorite job out of all the ones I've had), my mom was the only parent in the picture at the time and was gone two weeks out of the month for the first two years and had moved to another state entirely for the last 2 years so I was pretty uninhibited and had all the independence I could ask for. Staying on top of the bills sucked a mammoth dick towards the end (and for that matter it still does) but it didn't matter, I felt like I was living the dream.
Come to think of it I haven't even lived alone since :p goddammit
edit: ratty + me = slime dance party

The best year of my highschool life is when our bus almost fell into the ocean and people screaming...
...if that counts?

Sorry, as far as highschool goes, I think the cooler you are depends on social status, and hiding in the tech lab = zero socializing. That's all, man. But retrospectively, highschool status means nothing in the real world anyway.
The super famous in highschool probably won't amount to much more than churning out a few babies.
i can't bear college, i liked school though. It was good until i had to start trying, then it all got shit. now teachers expect me to pay attention or gtfo. i just turned stupid as soon as i entered.
The best part of my highschool years was just chilling without having any responsibilities.
i dont know what the equivalent to college is in USA.

isnt college what uni would be here?
this is correct. MOG you are wrong (but really there aren't equivalencies it's just different)
college/sixth form lasts 2 years and gets you your ALevels. ALevels are the qualifications you need for uni, or college in your case. I think high school lasts longer in America or something, i dunno.
Well, in America, generally college and university are used interchangeably for the exact same thing!

In America, you're in school for 12 years. 4 years of elementary school, 4 years of middle school, and 4 years of high school. After you graduate high school, you get your high school diploma and you can go to college for 4 years (or you can just not do any of that and work), which could be anywhere to University of Pittsburgh, Ohio State, Harvard, Oxford, etc etc. After that you go for graduate school if you so wish.
Like I said before, in America, 'university' and 'college' is generally used interchangeably for the exact same institution.
Yeah, we dont have middle school, just primary and high. And then sixth form or college. And then uni. I dont even know what graduate school is.
Yep in USA college=uni.
Some fun facts right here to get everyone in the know :D
