THEORETICAL/HYPOTHETICAL QUESTION ABOUT BEING BANNED AND OWNERSHIP OF CONTENT.

I was having a discussion on intellectual property (which, don't get me wrong, I am hardly an authority on the matter), and I thought of this question; If a member were to be banned on RMN, is it within his rights to ask (or demand) WIP to take down any content he uploaded on the site, or is there some sort of clause which dictates that any content that an individual puts on on a free site such as this is free domain once uploaded, and thus WIP is totally free to tell said person to screw himself?
Keep in mind that this question is purely hypothetical and not relevant to me or any existing situation that I'm aware of, so please don't take this as any sort of 'hidden meaning' or whatever. I am genuinely curious as to how this works on websites!

7. Ownership of Submitted Content
When you provide the website with your content, such as a game or article, you are merely giving the website explicit permission to make content available to its users. The website does not claim any rights to any user-submitted content, unless the content is submitted by a staff member and the works were created exclusively for the website. Users retain all rights to any content.

So I would assume, yes, any user (banned or not) has the right to demand that his stuff be removed.
This is actually an interesting topic as I have had to deal with this somewhat in the past.
My policy on this has been evolving and I have had discussions with numerous people about it. Basically, the site operates that if you give me (the site) something to display, I am never getting rid of it. You are giving me the right to display this content for the rest of eternity.
However, that doesn't make sense in all kinds of situations. The user should have some ability to remove things, as they are in fact his.
As a banned user, they have been barred from using RMN. I used to remove all banned users' games (see: S4D) but people seemed to have an issue with that.
Basically what I am saying is that I have no idea. I would probably take down a banned user's game if they asked me to, but there is no agreed standard set at this time.

I think you should take down a banned user's game if they ask you to, but keep it up for eternity otherwise. After all, being banned from a community shouldn't change the fact that you want people to play and enjoy your game.
I don't remember having to read a terms of copyright (like you do on deviantART) telling you exactly what permissions of publication you give to the site admins when you upload stuff.
However, if the banned user can't use RMN and manage their games, than what is the point of hosting them? They can't make bug fixes or answer questions or anything, it's not like they can provide support for the game anymore.
