Pfft, only wankers complain about sound quality. It's not like most regular people have the kind of equipment to hear any difference between a slightly lower quality track and a massively ubergood track. You just sit with your music-DVD and your stereo systems while us others enjoy our casette tapes and FM radio.
Also, I use iTunes as well...but it's not like you can get video game music from iTunes.

Who the fuck primarily listens to VG tracks from youtube? I rather just download/buy the actual soundtrack.

Better Alternatives:

http://snesmusic.org/
music ripped straight from snes roms has instructions on how to play said files

search zophar music or something in google to get almost every other game system musics in their rom ripped form. Pretty sure foobar plays most of them with the right .dll

buy the soundtracks or use torrents for anything else.

...and I feel like I have to say this because everyone seems to be hating on YouTube.

This is a terrible reason for defending youtube

I'd rather not listen the 16-bit sounding music ripped STRAIGHT FROM the games, I'd rather listen to remixes and arranged tracks of it instead.
So go to the remix site and download them.

I would...if they had the song I'm looking for. Not only that, but sometimes I just find an alternative download location rather than the site...and.

It's just how I do things, k?

Yellow Magic
Could I BE any more Chandler Bing from Friends (TM)?

TWEWY doesn't count as its soundtrack is awful. :<
Where DO people get music these days? I'm so out of touch.

I used to "buy" them from a russian MP3 site AllOfMP3.com but that was shutdown (surprise), and before that I used Napster (yeah, I'm really dating myself now).

On the rare occasions that a new song comes out that I like I usually just rip from Youtubes.
who needs new music anyway

i don't think i've bought a new album since †
I use sites like this to download specific, obscure songs. I don't see what's wrong with that. I also use SPC music and other, uh, totally legal acquisition methods to obtain music. I don't see why you can't use what makes the most sense for that specific song!

Agreed, sometimes I can't find something on a youtube video (either because the music isn't listed or I just plain can't find it) so I'd use something like this. If I had a better alternative I'd use it but I'd rather have a Youtube quality track than not at all.

Also Google is surprisingly decent for finding some music. I could punch it into Google with decent success. Half the time it links to BeeMP3 though. My other means include DC++, Torrents, various video game music dump sites (like snesmusic.org), and good ol' fashioned exploring!
What site like this? RMN?
Sites like

Mitsuhide
I found this website that can turn music from things like Youtube videos into actual MP3s that you can download. That's pretty badass if you ask me.

Check this out for sure.

Sorry for being vague
