BGM MALFUNCTION

Posts

Pages: 1
I've been working on RPG Maker 2003, and I went to edit the BGM on some of my maps. The problem then occured that none of the BGM would play. I imported some new BGMs that were in MP3 format, but anything imported as a MIDI doesn't work. Could someone either tell me how to fix this bug, or direct me to a program that will convert the MIDI files into files that are usable in RPG2003? Thank you all so much

Ugh you can restart your computer or you might've muted your comp.
But you can always redownload rpm2k3.
These are just suggestions o . o

Ahh, I haven't muted my computer, since I can still hear the other, non-MIDI sounds. And this problen has occured on two different computers, and after restarting, too. Thanks for the try, though.

People are still struggling with this? It has been 10 years since rpgmaker was out... Anyway, I bet anything that you used windows media player to play some midi, paused if for some reason, then quit wmp later. Pausing midi in wm brings the synthesizer volume to 0 and that is where your problem is. Guaranteed.

lol rpg maker should really tune it up a bit with the glitches and problems.

Or maybe you should quit using pirated programs from a decade ago.

It's not RM's fault. Blame it on Windows MIDI synth, rather, blame it on Windows Media Player.
It's only wmp's fault, not one other program I know does screw down this midi port's volume. Use Winamp or another player for playing midis, or you'll have that problem everytime you wanna test midi files.

So you suggest that I simply go through all the bgm and let them all just play through? Or is there a faster way to do this?
No no no, open your volume control and drag the SW synth up.
