SUPER STREET FIGHTER 4 GETS A 3RD STRIKE

I have a question for players of Street Fighter 3rd Strike (or SSF4, since that's what this question pertains to...):
I'm looking to improve with Makoto in SSF4 because I think she's pretty awesome, but her play-style is more awkward than what I'm used to. Is there anyone who used her in 3rd Strike enough to know how to put her to the best use?
Makoto is an offensive character, the key to kick somebodies ass with her is to switch up her moves, luckily she has all the skills you need to accomplish this.
first off get used to her basic inputs, most like her heavy punch if pressed forward lets her close a pretty damn big gap, making her an excellent preemptive attacker. Get used to all these, as well as her input combos, theyre a great way to mix up an opponent who drops his guard thinking you're done with your attack only to get smacked around a bit.
OK, next up (ill refrain from using her jap special names because well, fuck that), her dash punch special can be a great mix up even if it gets blocked, if you get your timing right you can immidietly follow it with a light dash punch and again, get your opponent to drop his guard only to get smacked around.
BUT, her greatest asset is her choke grapple, the basic combo when that lands is heavy punch -> light dash punch, you can even immediately chain the choke it into her ultra I, and if your fast enough into her super and then ultra. try and get into the habit of instead of using her input throws, get that choke in and follow up with that heavy punch combo. Great damage. Her karate chop is also a GREAT way to confuse your opponents who like to turtle up, her EX karate chop is also a great way to surprise an enemy whose just getting up from the ground, just like in sf3TS it still works like a charm.
as for mind games and switching up your playstyle to confuse your enemy, her jumping heeldrop special is just as deadly as it was in sf3TS, trust me, USE IT, switch up that ground game with it and you WILL take people down. Since it knocks them down if it hits you've already closed the gap for a karate chop, or some pokes that you can dash forward from to get that choke grapple in.
Sorry if I'm all over the place or not making sense, I wrote all that in quite the hurry!
Makoto is nowhere near as good as she was in 3rd Strike.
Hayate has lost speed. Karakusa has lost a LOT of its range. Don't even bother with EX karakusa http://img710.imageshack.us/img710/6434/fuckexkarakusa.jpg
No more 100% stun 100% kill combos and her music theme in ssf4 sucks :<

Ganon is nowhere near as good as he was in Melee.
Wizard Punch has lost speed. Wizard Kick has lost a LOT of its range. Don't even bother with it - it doesn't give back jumps.
No more stomp dancing, or 100% forward punch combos and he STILL doesn't get to use his sword.

For some reason, I'm not surprised she was nerfed. I'm not surprised if someone gets nerfed anymore, anyway. If they do, it's probably because they were too good in their previous appearance(s).
...And her theme still sounds okay. (speaking of theme songs, why'd they have to give Adon the badass metal remix? EDIT: Oh, wait...nm, it's always been that way... >.>)
Don't matter though, she's still cool.

I'm gonna switch gears here for a second and talk about Dudley
I played with him some and I seemed to be doing much better with him than I was Makoto. His moves felt a bit more versatile. He seems to be more of a tactical fighter, if that makes any sense. Does it?
How do hardcore players use Dudley? Was I right?

Her theme sounds like it would be more fitting for an ending sequence. Her trailer theme is MUCH more better. Despite her getting butchered by Ono, she's still one of my mains.

Excellent Dudley guide. Just remember to stay close, make good use of his target combos and mix-up your high-low game. Use Ultra I against projectile spammers, for everything else you're better off with using Ultra II because you have an insane number of ways to combo into it.

In Tekken you can play as a bear. why can't i have a bear in sf?
"IT'S TOO LATE"
I totally fucking suck at Street Fighter, I've realized...compared to hardcore players, at least.
I was playing with my friend yesterday...and I only won 1 out of 18 matches, and that was using Akuma, my best character--I couldn't do shit with Makoto or Dudley. He, on the other hand, kept switching characters every match, beating me with just about everyone. T_T

Akuma's utter inability to take any damage sets him back with every single installment of the series.
Well, if Akuma truly does utterly suck--and he was the only character I was able to win with--then what the hell does that say about my ability, man? With fireball characters like Akuma, I can just flawlessly pull off a string of their attacks without usually ever missing a beat. I would love to improve, but I thought that I was pretty good already.
Hmm...I wonder how I should approach this?
