Hi, I was wanting to make a IP system similar to that of Lufia 2. For those of you who don't know it, here's how the IP system is supposed to work: Basically, the more damage you get, the more your IP bar fills up. You can then use this IP much like MP with certain attacks that only show up when you have enough.

So, I was wondering how I could make something like that, or something close to that, for RPG Maker 2000.
oh man, just thinking about trying to do this in Rm2k gives me a headache.
It'd have to be done as a series of battle events and common events. Couldn't tell you how exactly. There is definitely no one way about doing it.
I guess it would be something like this

Max IP say 500 (dependent on level)
Damage taken = 150
So we would take the 150 * 100 divided by Max IP then divide that by 2 which would give you 15 IP
You can add a random number or whatever and this keeps the number low and very dependent on Max IP and Damage taken.

Just so you know I've never played Lufia so I dont know how its like, but i use this calculation in my game as a limit break bar.
