LOOKING TO REVIEW A SHORT GAME/DEMO!
Posts
Hi all. Today I woke up with another random urge: I want to review some games.
But playing games is quite time consuming... so I want to review a short game.
If anyone has a short game or demo they want a free review for, let me know!
By "short" I'm thinking two hours at the very maximum. Any longer and I'll stop playing. :)
Other things:
1) I'm going to review honestly. If I don't like your game, don't take it personally.
2) I don't do horror games. :P
3) I don't have to review your game. I'm doing this for free, you know?
Okay, looking forward to your requests!

Avarice is around that length. Even if you don't review it I'd be interested to hear what you think of it! Anyway, if you play it, hope you enjoy.
You could play Darksteel (http://rpgmaker.net/games/663/).. it'll take you less than two hours, but at least one hour I'm sure.
I'm not expecting a full fledged review if you don't want to give it one, but any comments would be sweet.

Desperate for feedback of any kind on Think Outside the Box. 50~60 minutes long. http://rpgmaker.net/games/2007/
No, I mean "some of the best games" is pretty vague, numerically and otherwise.
What is the population size of "the best games"? And then what percentage or sample size of that is "some"?
I'm not asking for exact numbers, but a very rough approximation would be better than total vagary.

That is such a vague, ridiculous and subjective question I am not even going to get into it here.
You want people to play and review more games but you've come onto the threads of two people taking review requests and questioned or derided their methods. I am not sure what exactly you're trying to accomplish but you probably shouldn't worry about it!
Anyway looks like Slash has a few potential takers at this point so I look forward to hearing his thoughts soon.

I have no real issue with this thread.
Also, don't worry about it.

My point was, as far as statements go,
Some of the best games on this site are under two hours longis virtually content free, because you did not define any of the components.
Which is not a big deal, people do this all the time (even me).
There were two ideas behind the time limit:
1) Assuming people do send me demos and incomplete games, a positive review may be the extra push that gets them to finish, and a negative review may cause them to rethink things before investing more time into the game.
2) I work a full-time job. I really don't have much free time to spare. Keeping the RPGs short allows me to review a bunch in the time frame I have available.
Anyways, thanks everyone for the submissions! I plan to start at the top and work my way down.
That means Solitayre is up first! Looking forward to it. :)
