This is the second movie that Family guy have released and it is pretty much based on the star wars series. I thought it was pretty funny but could have done better. But it is a definant must for all Family Guy fans.
The characters in this are from star wars with Peter playing Han Solo, Chris playing Luke Skywalker, Brian playing Chewbacca and even Hebert (The Pervert) playing Obe wan.

Plus the DVD set comes with a digital copy so you can upload it onto your computer or whatever and play it whenever you want without a disc. That's the only reason I'd buy it, just so I could put it on my PS3 to entertain my friends.

...and it is pretty much based on the star wars series...
Also, I recently bought it, and it is some good stuff. For any who haven't seen or bought it, it comes with a nice little special feature, where Seth McFarland (creator of family guy) interviews George Lucas (Creator of Star Wars). This was particulairly funny considering that for more than half of the interview, they were taljking about stuff completely unrelated to Star Wars or Blue Harvest.

Yeah, it is a combined episode but they still classify it as a movie. I think it was originally going to be the first two episodes of season 7 of the series but i heard they cut it off the season.
It was on american Tv ages back.. and i managed to get it mininova... had it for months then its been released as another movie.. Possibly the funniest of the family guys ive ever seen.. brilliantly done awell.. i recon they had that idea for at least 3 seasons and finally decided it was good enough with enough jokes and reference to star wars to release it..

Kinda makes you wonder why it took so long for a Simpsons movie though. Simpsons have been around for (roughly) a million years and Family guy already has twice as many movies.
Maybe it's just me, but I find Family Guy a lot funnier than Simpsons. And maybe most people do as well.

Yeah, at the moment i am thinking that too. It is mainly only because of the continuous reruns they have every night on tv. It was fun to watch for the first 5 years.

Family Guy is occasionally funny, but it just doesn't stand up to repeat viewings. It's a series whose sense of humor is more or less entirely dependant on surprising the viewer with non-sequiters that they weren't expecting. Each episode is less funny every time you see it, and I'm even finding that the whole series becomes less funny the more you've seen it, since you begin to anticipate the sorts of jokes they'll be making. Once it stops surprising you, it sort of stops being amusing. For all the Simpsons's inconsistent quality, the good episodes never seem to stop being good.
The Star Wars special wasn't bad, in part because it forced them to stay on topic for a bit, but I think I liked Robot Chicken's Star Wars special better. I think it's a shame that Family Guy just stuck to the first movie, though. There's a wealth of parody-ripe material in the whole series.

Sorry for going off topic a bit but one thing i love about Family Guy are the chicken fights. The last fight was in season 6 and they seem to keep getting better and longer. I will be expecting a 10 minute chicken fight coming up.
