I am trying to submit my demo, but I am running into several problems. One is that I can't provide a download for my demo, and the second one is something called "submit day and time" I try to provide a day and time, but when I put something down inside the appropriate slot it says, "please enter a valid day and time" How do I do that?

You can't submit a demo until the staff has reviewed it and gave it the approval. And the date and time is something you don't need to use. Even if your demo is approved, putting a date and time will make it invisible to everyone until that day and time comes (Unless that is what you want)

From the submission page:

You are submitting a game profile, not just a game download. A game profile allows you to manage images, downloads, and other parts of your game.

You are not able to submit a download for your game until your game profile is accepted.

Date Available
What is Date Available? This is the date when your game will be viewable on the website, not when it is to be released. You can set this to a future date to keep your game hidden until you are ready to release it.

You can safely ignore this field for now.
