HELP WITH MINKOFF BATTLERS

I am a newbie at XP, through a lot of studying I learned how to use the Minkoff Animated Battler system and for the most part I have gotten it to work, but for some reason right after the actor attacks he freezes up for a second and it really creates a flow problem with the battle system somebody please help.
