Because if it further decreases the damage taken when Defending, I might just set everyone on MG do make it a more viable option in combat.
It does exactly what it says on the tin.
(10) Options
-> Two Weapons
Allows the hero to equip a weapon in the shield slot. This makes him unable to equip a shield. Useful for heroes who excel in attack power.
-> Lock Equipment
The hero cannot have their equipment changed. Useful for NPCs which join the hero and have a specific set of equipment for the entire time they're with you.
-> AI Control
The hero cannot be controlled by the player in battle.. The computer acts for them.
-> Mighty Guard
Heroes with this option will take even less damage when defending than usual.

I think it reduces incoming physical damage by an additional 20%, instead of taking 50% damage, you take 30% damage. I forgot where I read this though. It *might* be in the help file.
Yeah, I always just check mighty guard on. It makes defending much more useful on top of any other mechanics you may have behind defending, so there's little reason not to imo.
Well god damn, if I had to know about this, then I would have set it for all of the characters in EP! >:C
I was wondering what in the world Mighty Guard did, and just never got around to asking. =/
