GAME RANKING

Ok, so I submitted a game that I'm still working (just to have the page up and what not) and I got a ranking for it but it's low and I feel it could be higher once I have the full game done.
(since the pics right now I have for it aren't going to be necessarily how it will look when it's done.)
so is it possible to get it re-ranked later? O.o

I think they saw the stars on their game page and thought it was ranked low when in actual fact it's just N/A.
LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

The stars are an average of all your reviews. If you have no reviews, it will not show any stars. That's actually visibly different from having a very low score - since the lowest possible score you could possibly get from reviews is 0.5 stars.

No I mean if you go to either your submissions or manage games and look at the game it will show a game maker rating (or something like that) and that is what I'm refferring to not the stars. (I think the rating I'm talking about comes from the admins and what not that approve the game. O.o)
A game's makerscore is based on its status (Completed games give the most makerscore, everything else doesn't give nearly as much) and it's star ranking (more == better). If you want more makersore you need to finish the game and find somebody to review it.

Makerscore isn't a rating of your game, nor is it even linked to your game - it's linked to you. It's a (bad) indication of how much you as a person have contributed to the community. Note that the same number appears next to every forum post you make.
How is it a bad indication? I find it pretty good :X But yeah, the OP probably saw the stars and thought it was ranking.

I just think it's silly that almost the only time you see it is in the forums, but nothing you post in the forums affects it. If you help someone with their problems or contribute resources, that seems to me like it should increase your score...
yeah, but its MAKER score, not "contributor" score or something xD You make stuff, you get points for making it, not a bad deal.
post=155536I used to think it did, thinking that "oh, these guys with 1000+ makerscore are GODS!" until I realized that makerscore wasn't there to ostracize you, or make you feel inferior.
not that makerscore matters or anything
In fact, I remember the time when WIP had a makerscore of 30-something, and he founded the damn site.
But I'm still not quite sure why it exists. Maybe it's just there to appeal to JRPG players' obsession with big numbers.

He then gave himself about 10 Million, just because he could. That lowered the value and reputation of the Makerscore heavily. Just like when Kevin Nash laid down for Hulk Hogan in 1998 to let him win the WCW Heavyweight Championship and it became a joke then. X-D

Hmm, alright, thanks (same goes to everyone else) that helps, and I suppose it would explain that if you have a bigger score you might get more locker space. ^^
but the question is what is the locker space even good for really? O.o
It gives direct download links for anything you put on it: No need for timers or ads or shitty website design made to confuse users and make them click the wrong links. Pull the (correct) download link, give it to all your buddies, and they can directly download said item.
It is also the go to place when placing images that will be used on your gameprofile that aren't game screenshots. Like background images for a common example.
