Hey, a couple months ago I compiled a hand-picked group of pieces from my two most recent soundtracks... and released an album. It's an "official" album, so it has been published, but it's free. You can simply download it or listen to the previews on CDbaby.

Wow, very awesome stuff! What program are they sequenced with? (Sorry if I've asked you this before, I can't remember)
i didnt know hitoshi sakimoto plagiarized royal city rabanastre from your track 'veridia jewel of archaelus' you must be more influential than i thought!
There is a similar melody in there, actually.
I noticed the same thing with Legacies of Dondoran's final battle music, there's a section in there that sounds almost exactly like a section in SD3's final boss music.
I only really noticed this one because I was really obsessed with SD3 back when I first downloaded the ROM years ago.
Setting the music and tone for areas is one of my favorite things to do; I should at least try learning how to compose stuff. I would much rather slave over a song than slave over youtube trying to find someone else's song.

I've noted a lot of Sakimoto influences in Harmonic's work, particularly from Final Fantasy Tactics.
Ciel: I wrote the theme to Veridia, Jewel from a half-asleep half-awake dream I was having. My girlfriend was making something in the blender, and the hum of the blender sounded like the cello riff in Veridia in the beginning, and I woke up with the melody in my head, rushed to the keyboard, and cranked it out. So... any other thoughts or just that? Besides, your ears are deceiving you. There are plenty of obvious technical differences, such as triple versus duple time, orchestration, and chord structure. Nice try though ;)
Nightblade: Can you specify which part of the SD3 final battle sounds similar? Just curious. I don't even remember what the final battle music of LoD is, it's been too long.

This. Needless to say it's a good thing.

The part where it goes "Den dee.... den den dedede... Dododododo doooooo... dododo dodododoooo-"
...
You should have a good ear, you'll probably recognize it if you took a listen.

Thanks :D
Comes from listening to the FFT soundtrack ad nauseum during mapping marathons.

if you say so ;)
So, I'll just be stealing all of this for my rpgmaker game that will never be released.
(this is the highest praise I could think of!)
