Thanks to everyone for the descriptions of their worlds last time, I think that's the longest topic we've had since week 1! Apologies for this being late, appropriately this week it's time for a...
Roll Call!
Who's still in this? Who's given up already? And have you (yes you) changed your project entirely and restarted already?

I know some people will groan when they hear that I have indeed went back to the drawing board. And go ahead, it is groan worthy.
I decided that the story for Episode 1 is just waaaaay to monotonous and boring, so I have decided to re-write it into something with a little more going on. Basically you play as a number of characters, who will all join up at some point. I think this will keep things from getting stale.
Also, I am entirely fed up with Rudra graphics. The way things have panned out, they are never going to work, not a chance. My story has too many unique characters and party members for it. Also I'm just sick of being confined to using rips. It makes me and the community look bad.
This is a taste of how the graphics will work. Keep in mind it's a WIP- The trees need to be changed big time and a lot of things need to be added (Like doors). By the way, the game is going to be styled like FF4/5/Romancing SaGa 1.

If anyone is worried that I'll cancel it cause it's custom then don't. I'm not screwing around this time. This project is FINALLY ready to be made and I will be making it.

That looks pretty sweet. Loving the old school vibe. I myself am guilty of thinking of returning to the drawing board to perhaps make a horror game. Not an action adventure with a horror tone, a horror game. Something weird and messed up like Galerians (fantastic game, if you've not played it, shame on you! The sequel, Galerians: Ash was complete shit, but that's besides the point)
I'm still in, but it's overall not looking very good. I decided to try VX out (I'm used to XP) and the switch is causing me trouble.
I am thinking of going back to the drawing board. I'm having issues with gameplay. I set out with the knowledge that this game would be quick to complete but the problem is the actual gameplay isn't really fun. I either have to do something with it or set it to the curb altogether.
This seems like an appropriate time for em to ask if I can kinda join in. I started my game after this started, and I probably won't be done by the end of it. Can I jump in anyway, just for a bit of motivation/so I can answer your questions?
I'm still here, since week 03! I'm still working away on finishing the story which may put me behind schedule for a January release.
I'm still in but having some trouble getting my ideas together and creating the enemies and bosses. Srry that I didn't post in the last topic.

Still hanging in there, bitches!
Uhh. ok.
Im still in this. Havnt gotten to much work done Been really busy + playing rune factory 3.
I've run into a wall with my game play (it gets to repetative and boring) plus I've been incredibly busy preparing for the upcoming release of my other game, I may have to go back to the drawing board... but only after my other game is finished...
I may or may not have changed my project slightly. Lost Episode 2 of Take Down years ago and never thought it would be made. Though, with this new style of side-scroller RPG, I am excited about the project enough to really put effort in for a change. So~ instead of making some completely unattached Take Down game (yeah it was going to be a Take Down parody of Final Fantasy 13 ... where you can only walk down a path hitting X) into Take Down Legacy 2. It will mean a lot of extra graphics and custom character sprites, but well worth the effort. With this side-scroller style, there is more emphasis on art than map design. I like that. It's a lot of fun.
