Has anyone used this thing yet? Is it any good? Junk? It's main draw is that it's (supposed to) make music creation easy.
Here's a cheesy video.

It's the RPGmaker of music creation, except RPGmaker at least has the potential to look and play like a real game without any sophisticated skills whatsoever.
I can't imagine music maker makes up for the years of rigor it takes to master musical theory, learn to play an instrument, or gain years of experience drawing from musical influences via performance experience and age.

I downloaded the trial and am playing with it - pretty cool so far!
It maybe be the RPGMaker of music creation, but it allows those who don't spend all those years to at least make some nice custom loops for the games so all the music isn't RTP or Newgrounds or rips.
I used a tool similar to this for a project once and a got a lot more feedback (all the negative was that they didn't like the style but thought it sounded nice.)
I think this has the potential to be a really nice tool for those that don't have a friend who has the experience, knowledge, time, and inclination to do a ton of custom music for their game.
(The random exposure to tools or methods I didn't know of before is one of the useful features of a forum of game makers like this, so I'm very happy Nightblade posted this.)

Used to use it for it's recording and editing facilities (before audacity was around).
It is basic but it can do quite a bit really. Easy to use too.

I'll have to try it out, but it sounds like what I've been looking for - something easy to make some tunes that won't make your ears bleed that I can claim as my own, at least partially.
Cool, I could use this too because I advocate custom stuff in games, and while this may make cheesy sounds even if they sound good, it's likely you draw from a "canned" set of patterns that can be applied in any way you like. While I do make my own music for my games (after 2008), it takes a damn long time to make a one minute tune ~4-8 hours.
I could use this for filler music or for places that need a song used just once like a game over screen. People underestimate the amount of music that goes into RPG's!

OH WAIT WHAT?
I actually have used this before. I have to say, it's pretty good. It's also a deeper than it may at first seem.

Your comments have persuaded me. (The video, not so much) I'm giving this a try.
This. I'm going to give it a try!
