CloseI want a specific character to be the only one able to use a specific item. Using the item out of battle looks fine because you don't have any specific character selected using the item, it's just from the pause menu. In battle though, any character in the party can use that item that I want only a specific character to be able to use.
So... Does anyone know of a way to, in RPG Maker VX, make certain items only able to be used by a specific character?

i don't suppose you're using/are willing to use Battle Engine Melody? it comes with a <pharmacology only> tag that allows items to be used only by party members with the pharmacology trait (as well as a bunch of other neat things you can do with items to make them more interesting).

If there's no other way than putting the Battle Engine Melody into the RPG, then I guess I'll go with that. I don't really want to have to mess with the battle engine's configuration just to get an item able to be used only by specific characters. Thanks anyways though, Cho.
