On a scale of one to ten how would you rate this so far?

Note: I'm yet to complete the back and side animations.
I already tested it in Mode 7, it fits perfectly.

Oh, is this a chara for a game? interesting... the head is rather too big for my liking, but that's not an issue.

Well, I'd rate it with 7 maybe an 8, but it really depends of what's around, other charas, the background, the overall color scheme, etc... As of now I think the lineart need to be better defined, the shading needs a bit of contrast as well, also, I noticed that the line of the jaw is slightly different for the standing and step positions, you should fix that or it may look a bit weird animated.

Thanks, I'll see if I can get the jaw the same. I wanted to keep the lines soft though as well as the color. The shading could be improved I guess. I thought the head was cute though, like a lollipop.
The head was supposed to be slightly down as when you bend while walking but I can see how this could affect the overall animation if its not exactly slight e.g two pixels down e.t.c. Wouldn't want it to be bobbing around too much.
