I wanted to use his sound code (when writing out messages) but I cannot find the commands which will alter the pitch. I was wondering if anyone knew? I tried to look for it, but I don't see anything there.

Line 780, "filename", volume, pitch, I believe pitch is omittable.
To randomize the pitch, line 782.
To randomize the pitch, line 782.
I should have specified, I needed the pitch to be altered in messages so different bits of dialog can have different pitches.
# :random_pitch - If :letter_sound is true, this is the range the pitch of the
# SE will vary within. It can be used to mimic the pitch variations of
# a human voice. It is a range in the format x..y. If x is equal to y,
# then the pitch won't vary. If set to an integer, it will take that as
# the variance from the regular pitch of the SE. Default: 100..100
I think this is it ... but I don't understnd how to use it. Like how I could change it in-game.

Modernalgebra is pretty active on Rmrk.net from what I've seen. If we can't help, you may want to hit him up.
I believe you have to use the follwing script call before the message:
ats_next (:random_pitch, 149..150)
The pitch doesn't change if the numbers are the same (like 150..150).
As ariedonus said, ma is very active on RMRK.
