Not to sure why instead of a space I have a _ but ok. I am Funky Gun (Funky Gun Productions) I am here to build and get help on the Rpg Maker. I have made a few rpgs myself, and I'll probably share them with you if I can find them through all these files. ANNNNDDDD man do I have some files.
I also enjoy nice walks on the beach, watching 70's-90's TV shows since I am not to fond of what's on today, and I am a very large Spyro the Dragon fan. I still haven't touched the Legend Series with the exception of the first game, but maybe if I hold my breath I can get through it.
I also write stories and I think i am getting quite good at it myself. I also like to create gaming plots. I have many ideas in the old noggin, yes I do.
So that concludes the introduction of me, please feel free to ask any questions and have a nice day.

sounds pretty good to me. i was curious to who Spyro the Dragon was so i went to google. seems awesome.
Oh it is a awesome game. No action adventure game can have such a great and adventurous environmental like it. It is also a very open game with lots to do and explore. When the first 3 games came out on the PS1, they defined what the playstation was able to do with its 32-bit software. It also has moneybags.
The legends series was when a new publisher/developer took it to stupid new areas. Now it's some mindless repetitive fighting with the same type of enemies over and over with very linear gameplay like Crash Bandicoot.

i hardly remember the playstation days. i was more of card-player myself which fascinated me more than a console for some reason.
Let's see if image tags work here.
If you remember any PS1 games at all, I assure you that this is a lot of beautiful artwork and is one of the few games to look this good for its time.

i can definitely tell it was some pretty visuals for it's time. i dont think i ever played any good games like this, haha. i was more into comic books and marvel heroes so i had a bunch of those sort of games.
I did play Marvel Superheroes. Have you ever played it? It's a fighting game that came out around that time.
Ah, another fellow with the love for Insomniac's Spyro series. I still can't believe why they stop making them.
Anyways, welcome to RMN.
Anyways, welcome to RMN.
Insomniac never owned Spyro, just like Crash. Universal owned both. When Naughty Dogg accepted being brought by Sony, Crash went away with Universal. Insomniac, unlike Naughty Dogg, is an independent company, but they won't take Spyro back as they wanted a character who could do more, like shoot guns. So they made Ratchet and Clank. While I like R&C a bit, it lacks the open exploration I likes about Spyro. Of course, Insomniac wants to make games only for Sony console at the moment for some reason so that's another reason.
After the last PS1 Spyro game for Insomniac, the First GBA Spyro was made. I actually think Season of Ice, Season of Flame, and Attack of the Rhynocs are the best GBA games you can buy with their Isometric 3D and beautiful visuals while still having the old Spyro feel.
Spyro on the PS2 was another story, as they hyped Spyro: Enter the dragonfly way to much for a game that looked way to much like the older games with horrible gameplay. If they had not hyped it so much, Heroes Tail, the next game, would have been reviewed differently. I thought Heros Tail was fantastic, and so did many other people. Then, Vivendi did something stupid and fused Crash and Spyro in 2 games. Spyro Orange, and Crash Purple. Ironically, I can't stand Spyro Orange, and liked Crash Purple.
Then the Spyro DS by Sierracame out. With it's Dark World/Real world story. it was quite interesting. The 3D Boss battle were the best on DS at the time. But the game was just so buggy and had problems. When I heard Sierra was going to keep doing Spyro, I thought they would improve on what they did With Spyro DS. But instead they rebooted the series in a 3 game trilogy called THE LEGEND OF SPYRO and while the first game was pretty different and lacked a lot of what made Spyro good. I thought just a little that it wouldn't be so bad. But it got worse until this point. I'm still struggling to play these 3 games to the finish.
Of course, I play games were Spyro showed up in. This means I bought the crash games on the PS1 because Spyro Demos where in them. Well, 2 and up anyway. I brought Nitro Kart because Spyro was a playable character on PS2. However, the GBA version of Nitro Kart is the best racing game I have played in my life till this day. I then went to buy Crash purple and borrowed Spyro orange. Then I brought Crash Twinsanity because I heard Spyro was in the game. Crash Twinsanity is, and I am pretty sure I am right, the ONLY open exploration Crash game. It's actually one of my favorite games because of that. It also had interesting stories. Sadly, you could not play as Spyro, but he was in it.
The Legend of Spyro also had GBA gams, but they played like Spyro Orange so I borrowed and tried playing but couldn't do it.
So the Spyro games I have played and finished+Games with Spyro in it I finished are:
Spyro the Dragon (PS1)
Spyro 2: Riptos Rage (PS1)
Spyro: Year of the Dragon(PS1)
Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly (PS2)
Spyro: A Heros Tail (PS2)
Spyro: Season of Ice (GBA)
Spyro: Season of Flame (GBA)
Spyro: Attack of the Rhynocs (GBA)
Spyro: Shadow legacy (DS)
The Legend of Spyro: A new beginning (PS2)
The Legend of Spyro 3: Dawn of the Dragon (Xbox360)
Crash Twinsanity (PS2)
Crash Nitro Kart: (PS2)(GBA)
Crash Bandicoot Purple. (GBA)

Ah, another fellow with the love for Insomniac's Spyro series. I still can't believe why they stop making them...
Because they stopped making good ones. Anything past the PS1 games was really dry and boring, so it's easy to see how they quit being popular. I did like the PS1 ones though, they were about as solid as any 3D platformer Rare could make. It's a shame they lost their touch though.

i never played that one but as i said, i was more into card-playing that consoles. now its the complete opposite.
Welcome to RMN, your official worldwide source for the Real Men Network!
Yeah, the PS1 Spyro games were great! Shame all the later ones were ruined.

Wolfcoder, you do realize that Heros Tail and all the GBA games were actually good? Oh, and a new series of Spyro is coming out.

No, I actually especially hated the GBA games.
i WAS asking. Although I do have to admit Crash has been doing way better than Spyro. Oh an at least Sonic the Hedgehog is slightly improving, but if they really are going to base the next Spyro games off the TLOS trilogy, you might as well throw all hope out yonder window.

I know Spyro wasn't owned by Insomniac, but they were the ones that were making it at the time. The reason why they stopped was actually because the main creator felt that Spyro's abilities were too limited (because he couldn't hold items in his claws.)Which then resulted in worse games most likely.
EDIT:

Oh my god! Don't get me started about how much I hated these!
I mean I can see you hating the Season games, but Attack of the Rhynocs for the GBA fixed almost every problem the first 2 had.
The main reason Insomniac stopped making Spyro games is that once Spyro went multi-plat, Insomniac stated that they were still only making Sony games. This is why it's impossible for them to take Spyro back whether they wanted to or not. But yes, they don't want to. However, I still think Heros tail is the best console Spyro game after the first 3 that was actually good.
As for the horrible reboot. I was angry at Sierra for publishing such crap. Really? Now there's a reason why he's purple? The whole put the egg in the basket and throw it in the river was corny as well. I also don't give to shits who the voice actors are if the game is repetitive button mashing attack recolors of the same enemy for 4 hours. Sadly, some people actually like these games. But probably because they know nothing about the original Spyro and are like 14 year old kids.
I still dable with Spyro games though hoping it will start being good again. But mostly I try to chill out with Insomniacs Ratchet and Clank series nowadays and I used to enjoy the open world of Jak and Sly. But Jak is pretty much over from what I see. I did here a Sly 4 was coming out.
But I found Ratchet and Clank too straight forward and not enough open objectives however. I tried Resistance and I liked that. However, there are some games I can't stand in 3D movement (X7 comes to mind. Terrible. Oh and Kingdom Hearts 2.) Way to linear if that is the correct word for it.
