MECHANICS OF RMN

Still a new user to RMN I was just wondering a few things about RMN, a couple really...
1. How do you put a comment under your avatar?
2. What exactly makes up a users "makerscore?".
Yeah and that's it really.

Yeah and that's it really.
1. Titles are given by RMN staff
2. Downloads, reviews, articles, all that junk...

Now comes someone who will clear it up more, or make some kind of remark.
May I just say "Yuber for the win <3". Also, WIP is the one who gives out avatar comments and they aren't choosable, I think.

1. You don't choose a user title - a user title chooses you.
2. makerscore is life
What is this, Soviet Russia?

I think this is a joke but I'm still learning English so I'm not sure!

It's not, this is serious business.

Oh! I get it now. Thank you.
Wikipedia to the rescue! Don't worry, you seem to be using English better than most native speakers.
Karsu draws all of the mechanics for the site. We've just never gotten around to actually implementing them.
Just curious, but does post count have some kind of role in the equation? I didn't see any mention of it in the post of kentona's that NewBlack referenced.
Based on that post, I know 4 of my points came from putting up a game page, but I have no idea where the other 10 came from if not from forum post count or something.

It doesn't come from post count. When I deleted all my stuff, my MS went back to 0. I've posted a lot on this forum. Unless its like, 1 MS per 500 or 1000 posts, I doubt it.

tried http://rpgmaker.net/users/mellytan/submissions/ ?
Yeah, and that's even more confusing--according to that, my game submission only garnered 2 points. All my other submissions are images, worth 0 points each.
More confusion: for a few days after my submission was approved, I had 24 points total.
Reviews, games, pictures, tutorials, articles, game score, competition entry/winning all contribute to maker score. Basically anything you submit to the site.
As far as post count - nada, nil, nothing. Post count was gotten rid of for various reasons, one being spam. It's thought that being 'judged' on what you add to the site is better than how much you have to say.
This is not a typical forum. Thank God.

If I may add, it's 15 points for a successfully accepted download, and 4 points for a blog post, and several other points added for stuff like what Liberty mentioned.
Posts in forums and comments do not count to makerscore (MS).
*You can always check your Submissions tab (next to Notices) to see how many MS you earn for each submission.*
