WHY IS THERE NO GAME OVER?

CloseAlright, so here's what's happening. I was testing my game and I ended up dying. Sad really since it's my own game, but anyway, I "died", but there was no game over screen. It just went back to the map screen and I could continue like normal. Until that is I went into another battle. I would start out with 0HP and then I would have another game over and repeat the process.
Anyone have an idea of what could have gone wrong?

There's a option under the battle event command that disables game over when you lose a battle.

I'm not sure I follow.
I still get game overs when I have a boss battle, but in random battles that's where I have the problem.

In one of the database tabs, system2 iirc, you can set a common event to play instead of a normal game over for random battles; this is for DQ-esque death systems where you lose half your money and go to the last inn you stayed at instead of losing all your progress. You can, of course, turn it off or do whatever else you want in the event.

I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

Chase is correct, it's an option in the database. I forget what the tab is called. I think it's whichever tab lets you choose how the info at the bottom of the battle screen is laid out. Somewhere on that page is an option that lets you pick what happens when you get a game over.

I've checked it, but there was nothing there out of the ordinary.
Then try checking another tab on the db editor? Won't get far without taking a good look around.

Alright that's what was wrong. Battle layout was messed up. I don't recall ever messing with that page, but thanks.

After four rounds of differential diagnosis, dyslexia is the only possibility left. It explains everything.
