HAS ANYONE HERE PLAYED "CATHERINE", YET? *SPOILERS*
Posts
Since it is only out in Japan and has yet to have an American release date (with Atlus saying it won't ever come to western shores {yet then teasing us that it will,
}) I doubt you will have much discussion here.

There was a topic over here: http://rpgmaker.net/forums/topics/7840/
But i can repost what I found out about it from what I Saw :)
There's two Catherines. One is Catherine (Blondie) and Katherine (the girl with glasses).
The Men who cheat on their wives/girls get these mysterious dreams that they're getting killed by a girl with a fork. I can bet that the the image of the girl killing them could be the person they're cheating on if not, then one of the trailers showed that the mysterious crawling girl is Katherine.
There's around 4 guys, Jonathan, David, Vincent, etc. I forgot their exact names but the ones I really remembered was Jonathan (since he's hot) and Vincent (the main protagonist).
The gameplay looks awesome and for some reason I am always reminded of Tartarus haha
Oh and good news:

I miss the old days when these types of things didn't matter much. Makers/players were quite resourceful, then.
*old man mode* Back in my day...blah blah.
Been watching a let's play on youtube, seems like a long conversation choice based game. But looks interesting.

Not getting an American release.
Welp.
I don't get it, it's going to get released in English by Atlus. There's already a preorder form in the website: http://www.catherinethegame.com/kat.html
As of today, yes it has an american release. Yesterday, and for about a week prior, Atlus had given a definite "No." to an American release. Apparently it was just a ruse.
So... Let me see if I can get this straight just based off of the images and video I have seen on their American site. You play as this guy who finds himself disbelievingly in bed with this "hot" girl and sleeps with her. But at other times, he's also going around town with this other girl with the same name (different spelling) and doing "sleuthing" to find this supposed brutal killer; while at other points in time he's ~what I can only imagine is~ dreaming and running around in those dreams in his heart-patterned boxers climbing/scaling boxes and hiding from baddies while trying to ultimately reach some form of a goal while trying to avoid the deadly monster that is chasing him in this "dream" world ~ which I would have to assume is supposed to portray the brutal murderer in the real world.
Have I missed something here yet? If no... Sign me up. XD

author=prexusit was never a definite no, it was a 'no plans as of yet,' i'm pretty sure.

Played the demo. Loved it. Puzzles are really fun, the text messaging thing seems kind of cool, and the sexiness isn't done in a lame way (pay attention other games).
Good times.
Good times.
I'm glad they're localizing it after all, it seemed very odd to release it on the 360 with no intentions of an english release.
This game looks completely bizarre, in a good way. I'm not sure if I'll enjoy the gameplay but it sounds nice and offbeat, and I'm inclined to get it anyway just to support the Persona team and Atlus if nothing else.
Those monster/boss designs are really neat and strange. What role do they play in the gameplay alongside the puzzles?
