OBLIVION RECOMMENDED MODS?

Posts

Pages: 1
Sooo, after seeing the Skyrim trailer, I got into mood to give oblivion one more try, with mods of course, so I wanna ask, what mods are must-have, or just great to have?
My list so far:

Unofficial patch
Oscuros Oblivion Overhaul (decided to go with this one, already know MMM and Francescos, and FCOM is A PAIN IN THE ASS to install properly without any problems in game)
LowPoly Grass
Fast Exit
Unique Landscapes
Oblivion XP
Oblivion Crash Prevention System
Oblivion Stutter Remover
Natural Environments
Darnified UI
Midas Magic Spells of Aurum
Deadly Reflex (seems fun, but it also seems to add lot of troubles, bugs and crashes, probably wont use)

And a few armor/weapon mods...... Anyone can recommend some great-looking ones?

Am I fogetting something important?

I've played Oblivion with FCOM myself, and I'm under the impression it's the best way to get everything out of the game, tho I haven't really checked the alternate possibilities: http://devnull.sweetdanger.net/convergence.html

It's a hell to set up though, but it's worth it.

I really like these:

Toggleable Quantity Prompt
Unlimited Amulets and Rings (I only use the ring part of this mod)
Quest Award Leveller
Here is a large, but fun one: Morrowblivion, a complete remake of morrowind in oblivion.
Thanks for the suggestions, but unfortunately, after I tried installing Oblivion again, I couldnt get it to run with smooth FPS, with or without mods, even on horribly ugly video settings.... Dont know why, they only thing that changed in my PC since the last time I played it is that I got a BETTER graphic card.... I dont get it.... Tried everything, messing with oblivion.ini, performance mods, very low resolution... still runs like shit.

At least I can bookmark this page, if I can get a better PC before Skyrim comes out.

Sure, you can't do a lot of stuff with console versions of these, but this is precisely the reason I sacrifice that option. I loathe fiddling with graphics, trying for hours to suss out why things aren't working, why I get this glitch, what patch I should get, why is my fps so low, which of my programs is interfering...

Many mods arent that hard to install and dont cause any trouble, and with good PC, oblivion with mods is they way to go, but otherwise I agree... and thats why I bought today the platinum version for PS3, with Knights/SI included..... At least now I can finally play the game and enjoy playing it, since everything is so smooth and good looking, just awesome, no stuttering in combat etc :D Of course some things suck in vanilla, but I would sacrifice all the mods anytime just to play smoothly / enjoyably.

Also I can get used to the PS3 controls so I am ready when Skyrim hits us.
