Firstly, if you haven't already, go check out this video ( http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/extra-credits/2821-Ludus-Florentis ) by game discussion group Extra Credits. The entirety of this topic will be talking about this episode in particular, so unless you're an industry aficionado, a lot of what you see here - depending on how the discussion goes - may go over your head.

So with that in mind, I pose a question:

Looking at all that info in the video, what does it mean to you? Does the shift in demographic pressure you into innovating new methods of play, or are you content to stick to what you know? Is the availability of tech to us indie developers enough of an incentive to change the platform you work on?

I'd like your thoughts on all this, and possibly more, based on your impressions of the video.
It pressures me yes. But I pressure the player. I want to drag them into something new and unfamiliar, but will ultimately be a rewarding challenge to them. However, people love what they know. If it ain't broke don't fix it sort of mentality.

As for the video. I kind of saw this as an unintentional plug to Jame's school he teaches and lectures at. That feeling got more and more intense. Kind of like YES YOU CAN MAKE A GAME... AT A DESIGN SCHOOL.

I'd like to see this group take on Robert Pachter.
