Well that depends on what you want.
Simple edits or orginal graphic.
Now I am only doing a rough price range, depending on how much work is involved it
can either get less or more.
But the price for rtp character should be the same always haha.
For my pixelart work
Rtp character (seem like people missunderstood this one, orginal styled rpt character!)
8$
Orignal template 4 frames
50 - 70$
Orginal template 6 frames
70 - 100$
Tileset full town/field etc
80 - 120$
----------------------------
Drawings
Character faceset
10$ then 2$ for each expression
Full body
15$
Backgrounds
10 - 20 $
If you have something you want me to create and wish to get more in depth of the
price for it PM me.
So I can find out how much work is involed.

Are you sure you can do edits of the RTP and charge money for them? The whole idea is kind of sketchy considering you don't actually own the RTP... I think you might need to read the Term of use.
I'd be pissed if someone was making money from edits of my pixelart (and so would you, probably).
I might look into it and let you know.

Is that Mithra on your DA page? :o
(some of those prices seem high to me ^.^; but I don't know what usual rates are)

I think your prices for "pixelart" are pretty far out there. I don't mean to be rude or anything, but if you do wish to actually have someone to commission any pixel stuff from you at all, you should cut the prizes at least by 90% or something, unless you're capable of delivering something pretty good. Even so I'd cut the prizes by half.
Just saying because I didn't feel like RMXP RTP edits as showcase of your work and what you can do are enough for such prizes, or for any money to be paid at all to begin with.
edit: I missed your link to hbgames. It might be good idea to have all your showcase work at one place. Anyway, those tilesets look alright, but even still the prices seem unreasonable.

The RTP is free to edit modify or whatsoever as long as it's used in their own respective engines. You bought the right to modify the resources etc. so that's fine. If someone commissioned you to do it that is fine as well since it's still your time wasted and that person has the proper license.
Also Ellenor you might want to show off your custom work like what yo showed me before except heavily watermark it I guess if you're afraid of it being ripped off. The Sprites etc.
That's good to know, Ness.
I also think it's too expensive (for my budget anyway). Still, if people are willing to spend that amount of money, why not.

That tileset looks pretty awesome if you have sprited everything yourself. I think you would probably make some money if you lowered your prices.
You might be better off selling things individually as opposed to a whole tileset. People could submit requests like: ''I'd like a car/tree/whatever'' and you could charge them on a single item for something cheap like a few dollars. It seems to me there's more money to be made if you take requests for small items than by forcing people to dish out 120$ for a tileset they might not want as a whole.
EDIT: I checked on the net and some people actually paid 50$ for this:

Go figure. I think it's pretty amateurish and doesn't deserve near that much.

EDIT2:
In the US, hourly rates for pixel artists vary from $15 per hour up to a cap around $50 per hour for the best artists on the most well-funded projects. This can be a lot of money for somebody in New Zealand, but sometimes not very much if you're in mainland Europe. However, a useful median that you'll see from large, respectable companies is about $30/hr for talented artists to work on high profile projects that look pretty hot on your portfolio
Hmmm, I gave her the BOD and assumed "RTP Character" meant "Original RTP style character."
Those prices, as a rough guideline, don't seem excessive at all to me. Looks like they're based on about $5/hr. (well below poverty level).
A full time professional Graphic Artist would cost you a lot more.

You might still want to keep in mind we aren't actual game companies with large budjets, but rather, young individuals.
I think Creation's suggestion about small requests was pretty good.

What would your price ranges be for Monster graphics, and do you have any examples of that? (I'd be looking for stuff done on an Isometric angle, but not necessarily isometric style just that point of view)
Your art is pretty impressive, but maybe not $100 per tileset impressive :P
I agree with Creation as well, smaller jobs for lower prices is probably the best way to go for something like this. Yes professional pixel artists can run $30 or $40 per hour, but professional developers draw a developer's salary which I'm sure many of us can't match.
Another thing to think about is when people as talented as yourself see that you're estimating 100usd for a tileset they might decide to run a service themselves for like half the price which would leave you high and dry.
Just food for thought... I think it's a great idea though, if you can be successful with it.

I think the price for the faceset is reasonable but I'm pretty sure some people here at RMN (with pretty awesome skills) would be willing to do some 4 frames template for 30-40 bucks. I know some people who can sprite pretty damn fast and it's not like every frame is completely new as it often involves modifying the original sprite as opposed to creating a new one every time. That is, of course, if I understood correctly what you were trying to say.
I guess what I'm saying is start small and if you're good at it you'll get more and more submissions and you'll end up doing a lot more than waiting for the odd individual who's willing to spend 120 bucks for an amateur RPG Maker game.
A full time professional Graphic Artist would cost you a lot more.
Sure, that's true. But the thing is, investing in pros is a means to getting some money with a game you'll end up selling. It's a capital. Most people here are not aiming to sell their game. I think it's a pretty important difference :).
You might have more luck in pixelation 'v')b
And the other info we are lacking here is how big are these original template sprites? Or is this by order basis (for example, make a unique style for that game only, etc.)?

As I said the prices were only a rough guideline.
I didint really know what would be ok to put :P
<3
It depends so much on how much work gets involved.
for exemple if someone requested a huge orginal template with alot of details + maybe 8 frames it would become more expensive than someone request.
a standard orginal template in rtp size :P
And yes I have made those tiles myself. They are all orginal.
And I never restricted myself to only making whole tilesets :P
you can request a tree or house whatever.
And when I said rpt I meant orginal styled rpt sprites -.-'
That's why I said people can Pm if they got something they wanted and could discuss the price with me :)
I am pretty open for discussions, I do not bite people's head off :P

Please stop mucking up the thread with pricing complaints - it is not good form, especially since the prices are quite reasonable. If someone is actually interested in paying for custom work, contact ellenor directly and debate the prices from there.
In the mean time, ellenor, I highly suggest providing examples linked here rather than making us go to hbgames and deviantart to see them.

Alright, I have uploaded some of my pixelart work here :)
So now you no longer need to visit another site haha
