VX QUESTIONS

Hey, so, I just bought VX, and I have been wondering about a few things already:

1. How do you change your system set, title screen, tile set etc. without directly editing them in your rtp or game folder? Or is there no other way?

2. The small little test maps I have made so far seem to often lagg when the screen starts scrolling, is anyone else having this problem? Is there a way to fix it?

3. Does anyone know where to get good SFX for rpg games? (lol, just a general question)
1: You need to find the system set you want, put it in the System folder of your game, and name it Window.

2:Try defragmenting your hardrive. I had that problem and it only went away after a defrag.

3: Dogpile or findsounds.com
Ok, this sounds a bit odd, but I believe it to be the truth. I know that my VX isn't lagging because I need to defragment my hardrive, as it defragments once a week on it's own. So I was looking into it. I found out it lags even on tjhe smallest map possible if I play around with the dash button. So I turned on the FPS on the titlebar, and noticed I usually run a smooth 60fps, but then it suddenly drops to 4 and then makes its way back up to 60. I decided maybe something else was eating up all of my cpu, so I opened taskmanager. I kept it open, and started looking at the CPU tab as I was playing, suddenly my fps dropped back down to 4, and when I looked, Sidebar (yes, I'm on vista) was using up 96% CPU. I tried ending sidebar, and now my VX is running fine (although for some reason, I don't get 60fps, I get 59...). So, perhaps sidebar...somehow...messes with RMVX.
I do not know what sidebar is as I don't use Vista, but it sounds like that was the problem.

It's odd... For me, the first map that comes up when you start a new game lags, but all the other maps after that are fine.
