ERROR: FAILED TO LOAD ACTORS DATA

Hey, i just bought my RPG Maker VX, but when i try to start a new project.. A small box appears and says Error: Failed to load actors data.

Please help me, I'm in such a mood for RPG making now :S

I'm thinking it might be a permissions issue.

that or is it a real copy? or is it an ilegal copy, i know my friend got an ilegal copy of rm2k3 an there was a ton of errors
