MOVING DAY (NIGHT) - DONE!
Posts
Thanks to the support of the RMN community we purchased our new server last week and have been working on getting the site setup on the new server. We are now confident that the site is functioning correctly on the new server and are ready to make the move permanent!
I will be moving the site around 10:00pm CDT (UTC -5). It should only take about an hour or so to move the site itself, but we have to make some DNS changes to point rpgmaker.net to the new server which could take a few hours to propagate throughout the Internet.
Come join us on IRC while the site is being moved! #rpgmaker.net on Dynastynet (irc.dynastynet.net)!
tldr; RMN is moving this Friday at 10pm CDT and there is going to be some downtime.

Are you still taking donations; namely, the sponsorships? I wanted to donate but until recently I couldn't reconcile my bank account with the Paypal system.
author=Feldschlacht IVWe will always be taking donations (until I win the lottery). People do come and go and there is absolutely no obligation for them to continue to fund a recurring donation. Plus, everyone who does donate is super cool.

LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

Lo, and RMN's downtime will last three days and three nights. On Sunday morning it will rise again and angels will play trumpets heralding its return.
Well, that was a bit more work than I had anticipated...but it should all be working now!
Let us know if you have any problems!!!

For once, I like the new "Last Edited by ..." function :)
I hate it! It not only upsets the neat presentation of forum pages, but it's also kind of pointless. Why would anyone want to know when you last edited something in the first place? And by whom? Obviously by the author of the post, isn't it? Because mods shouldn't go around editing other peoples post unless is to delete spam links or something like that, in which cases it goes without saying their intervention was expected/justified.
I don't know, you may as well allow signatures now, for us to put in there whatever we damn please and "beautify" the forums even more.
Ps: The report button in -every- post is also kind of an eyesore too... =/
Edit:
@Ankylo: Ok, what I said may have come across as deprecating, sorry about that, I'm not the kind who uses to nag on what the staff does just for shit and giggles. But you know, is not like I gave no valid reasons for my dislike either, so, how about I trade you that for another shot at the subject?
Here's another argument: When people really do edit posts, they often say so, like me. =P
Edit:
@Ankylo: Heh; I just saw you edited your post too... This sucks, let's just forget about it.
Not sure if this is been reported, but I can't download any games. Clicking the download button just brings me to the wet paint page.
I like the last edited thing myself. It uh, lets me know when people edit things. Why wouldn't that be useful again?
If it would let you know what exactly was edited or for what reason then it might "useful", but otherwise I fail to see how is of any use to anyone. =/
I mean, people edit messages for the silliest reasons, why do we care? In fact, we don't! We will just skim trough it, but the -stain- will remain there.

Sorry you don't like it, but I don't plan on taking it out. You can disagree without being an ass about it.
I've noticed a lot of formatting problems, character replacement, etc.

Will it be fixed eventually or should we fix it manually?
