CloseI am totally stuck!! I have beaten the fake sultan in Bombomb and have gone to the next town...HOW do I cross the desert without ending up in jail Every time I start across the desert? I LOVE the Hero's Realm but, at 62 years young, I just don't have the time to keep going to jail!!!! Please Help! THANK YOU!!

Moved to help & requests. (Also, this should really go in the game profile!). And yes, while you are the oldest player that I know of, it's only by about 7 years. :)
Anywho,if you have defeated the fake sultan, you should be able to cross the desert in Sudash and end the chapter.
For a more detailed process (click the Hide button to expand):
-You sneak into the "Sultan's" bedchamber at night, using the city's catwalks
-You confront the "Sultan" with the Magic Mirror of Truth
-Murzhor is revealed and you fight him the first time.
-After beating him there, he runs downstairs. You must follow him.
-You confront him a second time, and fight a more powerful version of him.
-After beating him again, he escapes out a secret portal! You cannot follow him.
-When you try to leave the throne room, you are halted by the sultan's advisor. He has to throw you in the Bombomb jail.
-The next morning, he comes and talks to you and pleads with you to save the world. You then escape the jail like you did the first time and make your way to Sudash.
-Once in Sudash, you make your way across the desert to end the chapter.
Now, there are probably a bunch of ways to break that sequence of events that I didn't account for. Did you go through this sequence of events? The switch that disables the desert curse is turned ON during the second chat with the advisor in the Bombomb jail.
If nothing else, upload your save file to your locker, then let me know when you do and I can download it and take a look.

I did everything with the sultan. I beat him twice and when the sultan's advisor came into the room, he said "Halt." I tried to talk to him but, I got no where with him. So, I left and went to the desert and tried to cross. All that got me was getting thrown in jail, over and over again. I do not know why the sultan would not talk to me. But, that must be the problem. I have up loaded the save file. I have never used a program like this before and may get lost. I couldn't find my letter to you so I thought that I must have made a mess of things.
I LOVE this game. I like all these type of games. I even tried to go down to the jail but, the guard would not move. Could you please tell me what I did wrong?

Anywho, it sounds like you have downloaded v1.4 from somewhere - it has a serious bug that makes the 4th chapter unfinishable.
Download v1.5 of the game and copy your savefile to it and you should be good to go.

You will have to return back to the throne room to trigger the proper events to end the chapter. Sorry about the bug!
