TITLES

Hey, it has come to my attention, that the name of my game should be changed. I titled my game "King's Quest." Knowing now, that I did not know when I named it, there is an old series of games that go by the same name. Someone spoke to me that I should consider changing the name of the game because of the name, "King's Quest" there was a possibility that the makers would find out about my game's title, and cause problems later, even though it's completely home made. He recommended that I change the name of my game, and maybe even add a disclaimer about my game, which is nothing like the commercial video game. Any thoughts?
I remember King's Quest.
Well, it's a horrible name anyway. You shouldn't use something that obvious, unless your game is some kind of old-school homage.

Anyway, it's not like anyone's gonna sue you, but I think names should always be unique. I like names you can google for and not get other stuff as results. Try "King's Ultimate Quest".

Consider this: Somebody hears about your game and punches it into google. What do they get?
(a car in Altima's case, I should've thought that name through better :( )

I would suggest against titles that gives the reader a false impression or steer their thoughts away from your game. Your game may have nothing to do with the adventure game Kings Quest, but that doesn't mean someone playing it won't start looking at the game the wrong way.
I remember someone giving his game the title "Art of War". This lead to people wondering if the game really has anything to do with Sun Tsu. It turned out the author didn't even know who that guy was. The problem is, even if I now know the game has nothing to do with Sun Tsu, I can't just forget about what I know about him. Anytime anyone in that game makes a decision in a war situation that goes against the teaching in Art of War, I will notice that regardless of whether or not I'm trying.
I haven't actually played Kings Quest, I just know what it is, so the title Kings Quest means rather little to me. However, someone who has played that game may, intentionally or not, have expectations of the game he wouldn't have had otherwise. I would have avoided it if I was you.

LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

Yeah, it's definitely problematic. If you don't want to lose your title completely, consider making "King's Quest" a subtitle. Your game could be called Battle Royale: King's Quest or Wall of Laws: King's Quest or something like that. I would make "King's Quest" the subtitle, rather than adding a subtitle after it, personally.
Alternately you could just change it to something like Quest of Kings or Regal Quest or King's Mission.

@Verincia I think in order to improve on the name of your title, you should understand what is the main objective of your game, as in, what this game will ultimately lead to, or what is the main focus of your game. "King's Quest" seems a little vague.
I've roughly read your game description, and I would suggest titles that go along the lines of "Strive to be King" or "Journey to be King" or even "Throne's Ascension" or "Ascension to the Throne" or something. I personally prefer the latter two :)
EDIT: Or even "Rise of a New Ruler/King" or something. I think this title sounds a lot better.

seeing as Sierra Entertainment, the original authors of the King's Quest games, are now defunct, i don't really think you'll have a problem with them taking legal action!! against your rpg maker game.
author=GreatRedSpiritI get the website I set up for Hero's Realm on freehostia, followed by the gameprofile here on RMN.

Anywho, The Tournament of Kings fits sorta with the story you have laid out in your gameprofile.
