So it's going to be open Beta again on the 18th. I figured I'd give it a shot. What are your thoughts?

The character creation/customization alone has got me intrigued.

I played the original version from start to finish.
I would still give it a few months before you you try it. Going free doesn't mean it's going to be any better.

Edit: I was in the in the second ranked enforcer clan on the La Roche server. And the small 'freelance' team I was in were considered the best players on the server. From what I've seen I would give it a few months, it's still needs better weapon balancing and car balancing. Also, criminals still seem to have an overwhelming edge.

I heard it just wasn't playable because of bot aiming/auto aim.

I was in the closed beta and really, it's not any different than it was before the game went down last year. I didn't play the beta too much because, but I heard that the cheating is worse than it was before.

I was vaguely interested in the original launch of APB if only because I really dug Crackdown and it was made by the same dudes. I will probably give the F2P version a try when it releases but I am pretty sure the game won't be for me.
